    Thanks for another store tour. I love these trolley cam insights and overviews. Plus it’s good to see the styles and layouts of stores in Florida. I have fond memories of visiting Publix stores when I visited Florida in 2008. I love all the store tours that you visit and find them fascinating.
    Really appreciate your video quality and voice commentary too. Cheers :)

      Thanks. I'm struggling with filming what is essentially the same thing over and over again while at the same time keeping it interesting -- both for the audience and myself. Walmart Supercenters are much easier.

      Yes! These older store are disappearing fast. The Good Homes Plaza Publix is very similar inside th-cam.com/video/Y5QEuFZnjCM/w-d-xo.html

    Coming from an international pov. Us Europeans and UK viewers love to see prices of things we just can't get over her in the UK. Everytime we travel to orlando we are taken back by items like m and m's all the bakery items. Oreos. All different flavours and prices. Also with the meats instead of telling the veiwer the price per pound, I feel like we like to hear the overall total price so when we come to these stores we know what to expect. I feel as though the majority of your particular viewers are overseas. So we love to see everything we can't buy. Just thought I'd make you aware. Great videos none the less.

    I think Publix's brand of ice cream is better than most other brands and it is still a half-gallon at least it was the last time bought some. Thanks for the video.

    No it has always been a Publix it opened June 18 1987 Where the Kidney Clinic is was the Walgreens, they moved across the street so they could have drive through, that section where the Chips are used to be the Floral section back in the 90's

  • @gta4viceman
    @gta4viceman ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Also where the chips are for this store, some of the older ones of this configuration have a pharmacy where those chips are.

    • @OrlandoStreets
      @OrlandoStreets  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a strange place to put the chips. I have seen this before and a couple of other Publix'.

      @@OrlandoStreets Probably one of the many reasons why they are tearing down some of these stores as this layout no longer is functional for Publix

    5:16- these older stores like this one are the ones that are getting demolished and re-built. Not sure when they’ll re-build this but probably within a couple years

      It's so close to Universal it deserves a refresh.

      This just got a remodel this past year and they just added the liquor store in 2020, so they will keep this one for quite some time.

    Publix prices have gone crazy through the roof the last year or so.....I know groceries are higher but Publix has gone nuts raising stuff so high. I quit shopping there. I only get the occasional sub....roast beef and provolone.

    • @OrlandoStreets
      @OrlandoStreets  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. That said, it is a nicer shopping experience. There meat is decent quality and seems fresh. My go to stores are Costco, Walmart and Aldi. I'm glad we have some choices here in Orlando.

      @@OrlandoStreets I wish we could get the prices lower the fact is Publix doesn't have the same Buying power that Walmart has, Walmart is in all 50 states while Publix has moved now into 8 states . The Vendors charge Publix more than they do the Walmart's. etc. And of course Costco makes Millions just from their memberships .I wouldn't mind them refusing to buy and go with finding cheaper stuff but people would not be happy not having the main popular brands so I don't see them doing that. Also the stealing especially with self checkout is out of control, They come in and take all the batteries off the shelf (except Publix brand) and sell them on Ebay/Amazon etc. That affects price to.

    • @OrlandoStreets
      @OrlandoStreets  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks again for sharing. All of that sounds very frustrating, especially the theft. I know other stores are dealing with that too. We need a practical solution to that problem.

    This store has always been a Publix, looks to have been done in the late 80's

      @@OrlandoStreets yeah alot of these older ones are becoming rarer to see. The layout no longer works for Publix compared to the newer stores from the mid 2000's
