Thanks for this guide mate. I’m a casual and only play games while I work offshore, and was even struggling on easy with fog ‘off’. So it’s been very helpful, and easy to follow. Subbed
Cool videos dude. Something I always did on Normal difficulty playing as Germans is research Officer, Stage 2, and Panzer 3. I love the Panzer 3 E because it has twin machine guns on its turret. It melts infantry. I recruit 2 Sicherungs squads, 1 medic squad, 1 Pak 36 and 1 Panzer 3 (sometimes I will get the Panzer 2 C instead of the Pak gun). Then I pick the mission with bonus research points if available. For the next mission I immediately buy another Panzer 3. if I can, I try to research Defense, Field Engineers, Rifle Squad, and/or Supply Truck.
This game promises so much but the difficulty picking up how it all works is mind boggling. Started watching this video, looking good so far. Not short though - but I'm not surprised at all. Thanks, I will come back and finish it.
Best thing about these devs and this game, apart from all the cool mods is that probably all the issues you've had with it so far have subsequently been fixed.
i think the star difficulty is more the level of reinforcements the enemy calls in than the already set defences, which sowly increase similarly to how you can purchase small-large defences.
There is a mod for 'auto-medic' that is ESSENTIAL...it makes medics useful. It also makes guns choose the proper ammo automatically based on the target. That should be part of the game 🙄. A mortar with supply (or the infantry gun that you chose) is also essential. Ambushing (i.e. single AT infantry) is just a part of battle. That's why you need to screen with infantry and not just send tanks forward all alone. The AI is still bad in this game, especially your own when they don't automatically take the proper stance based on the situation.
I keep accidentally recruiting units at the beginning and having to restart because you can't sell them back for the same amount as far as I can tell even if you don't start the phase. I also didn't know how the phases worked and was trying to play every battle with just my initial call-ins, which was super challenging when they started bringing in bombers and wiping my squads. I've also been playing over a hundred hours and just thought esc paused the game this whole time and couldn't figure out how my units were using so much ammo.
12:00 Another strange behaviour, why, when pressing the ESC or Pause key during a game doubles the FPS making the graphics card overheat, only when returning back to the game the FPS goes to normal and the graphics card cools again.
Hardest thing I am struggling with is manually clicking every unit on the battlefield to try to find the one with an AT gun or a bazooka. There has to be an easy way for this? When a tank is approaching and you have four squads in an area, how the hell do you quickly locate the AT crew?
you can assign units to a shortcuts by selecting the troops and pressing SHIFT + NUMBER . Say that you pressed SHIFT + 1, you will be able to select that unit by just pressing 1 in the future
@@aaron1182 yeah I’ve been highlighting units and if I score a batch with tank nades I examine their inventory. But still a struggle. I think I’m gonna Id him at the beginning and hot key him
When you’re building your team and Collins, the far left box is all of the available units. The far right box is what you were deploying in each call sign, what the hell is the middle box for?
Im only learning myself but it seems that the middle is where your units go after battle to be resupplied and anything else you capture appears here. Basically it is where your veteran units go after the battle.
Let me know your preferred playstyle or what other videos you would like to see!
Good job with the tutorial! Only thing that could make this video better is timestamps. If you ever need any help or advice feel free reach out!

The learning curve was pretty steep, but now that I figured it out this game really shines!

Great commentary, funny and very authentic!

I'm godlike at this game yet this was still nice to watch. Subbing a no brainer. Great work.

Great content and review on point mate, need mic adjustment or a better one to make the video 💯

Great video, however main points you missed out on, hot keys! One will never win without them 👍🏴
Strangely enough, I actually prefer fog of war. It helps me orient myself and know exactly where I’m looking.
Great guide thanks! But i have an MSI laptop and i am unable to pause the game or use the keyboard actually. Dont really know how to fix that :/
The point made about the enemy not running out of reinforcements, is this still the case?
Nice video

You can try use the symbols on the left of the screen. I use this to select the officer mostly.

Nothing like your units "helping" get themselves killed.
Its called CONQUEST not campaign.
Thanks alot for your help bro
