NOOOOOOOO!!! Crowd is absolutely not needed for this show. The whole epic thing about this show was the fact that it was brilliant on its own. The tense moments, the comments, discussions, feedbacks, fights among the sharks, the expressions of the entrepreneurs... Whole is lost.. this is not a game show. It's serious stuff and cheering or booing audience have no place here. I hope it's just a one time thing

The crowd ruins it in so many ways. The sharks are also acting super weird trying to pander to the crowd and it completely kills the tension that we’re used to when there’s multiple offers and such.

The crowd won't be there every episode this season. It's just for this live episode. I myself was skeptical about a live Shark Tank episode. But I was quite surprised.i enjoyed the vibe and the synergy. Also all three segments were stellar. This was only the third time in 14 seasons that all 6 Sharks were on the panel. The other 2 times occurred in season 8. All episodes for the season were previously taped and in the can. A couple years back Mark Cuban said that they taped one entire season in one batch over 19 days. You may have noticed at the end of the show they showed new clips of upcoming episodes.
Agree adding an audience sucks as its not needed!! I know its a "reality show" and by that its not 100% "real" but add in an audience so now the sharks and entrepreneurs play to the crowd..... I'll watch reruns as "I'm out"

The audience gave SO much influence toward lori’s decision this guy had no choice. Probably the most important decision of his life and he didn’t even get to properly think about mark cuban’s $1.5 million cash offer. I hope ABC will allow live audiences in their business meetings.

He initially proposed the 5 mil to test the boundaries and see if Mark was bluffing. And it was easier for him to test their patience since there was a live audience in the back, makes it more difficult for the sharks to act mean.

Adding a live audience was a terrible idea. It takes away from the original nature of the show and the seriousness of the decisions being made. They can’t hear the offers clearly and there are way too many distractions. Who cares what the public opinion is from total strangers when you’re trying to do what’s best for your company? This is nonsense and It’s not a game show. How about the next time ABC or some other major company has a Board Of Directors meeting they bring in a live audience to help with their decisions and cheer people on? Please leave the game show element out, this doesn’t need it.

I thought this was a comedy sketch due to the live audience... The tension and what makes the tank THE TANK is gone
I was 1 of 2 immunocompromised/cancer patient audience members that were forced to switch seats from second row to being “off camera behind the brick wall” because we both refused to take off our n95 masks in an audience of 200. all that to still seen in the top left on 1:24 … it was blatant eugenics and ableism, and to have I experienced that as a disabled audience member at my favorite show that I’ve loved for 13 seasons really hurt and seeing the replay resurfaced those emotions. I still 💜 the sharks and the show, but as always, ableism in entertainment is breathing.

This is one of those, 'do you take the cashout now or do you wait and see' moments that people have at the casinos. It's a big gamble I think in this market, but the guy made the right choice to follow his gut and keep his business.

The live audience is HORRIBLE, not only for the fact it's cringe, but these guys are dealing with companies that have entrepreneurs who spent their life and hard earnings into their companies just to get peer pressured into taking a deal that maybe they didn't want.. I was curious about the Shark Tank's new season since I saw their recent interview.
And man, the audience may kill the entire show 🥲
I believe it was Mark who said in the interview that most of the offers and deals closed were audience-driven, for example, Barbara said yes without fully knowing/understanding what the product was.

Since Tate only owned 35% of the company I do not think he had the option to take the offer without consulting his partners, but I do not see the need for the product. Like Barbara said, very few people have leftovers when you order pizza but if you do, the container does not need to be shaped like a slice of pizza. I have a rectangular container I can put any leftover pizza in. Hard to believe Mark wanted to buy the company.
