Ride with the train driver from Den Helder to Amsterdam. (with speedometer)

Looking over the shoulder of a train driver on the route from Den Helder to Amsterdam Centraal.
In the evening at 6.04 pm we leave Den Helder. It's a beautiful day in May, sun tends to the horizon and the flower bulbs are in full bloom.
We arrive at Amsterdam Centraal at 7:21 PM.

1:10:20 Ik blijf er bij: Het had een hoop wissels en ellende gescheeld als de Hemtunnel 4-sporig was geweest. Deze wissels hadden er dan eigenlijk bijna allemaal niet hoeven liggen. Geen trein zou hier ook meer hoeven afremmen naar 80 km/h.

Why is there a part of overhead wire missing at the Koegrasbrug? What are you supposed to do if you have to make an emergency brake at this point and you can’t continue because the pantograph is not at the proper position?

Hi Super, not having an overhead line has to do with the fact that the bridge is going up and that it is easier to build not to have an overhead line than to make it movable, but the overhead line must be removed so that sailing ships or to allow highly loaded ships to pass.
If I ever have to make emergency braking, this will take precedence over all other inconveniences and the train will have to be moved with the help of another train or diesel locomotive.

2:00 heelaas is dat stukje naar die haven al opgebroken dus kunnen er ook geen goederen meer heen en is het spoor verlaten

klopt maar ondanks dat het niet gebruikt wordt willen vele kijkers toch graag weten waar deze aftakking naar toe gaat/ging.
