      @@BikesofRye Lovely road! If I understand correctly what you've said regarding your road positioning, you'd rather get your head knocked off on those righthanders than get your bike peppered with stones? :D
      In the worse cases on this video, on a few right handers your chest and head appear to be well over the centre line. This is in the face of a taller car (SUV?) coming the other way where your view is blocked. Were another motorcyclist behind that car to be in a pre-overtake position and they stuck their head out for an early view, how would that end?
      That happened to a rider I know. Both he and his wife (pillion) were hospitalised. His shoulder was injured so badly he could never ride again! The bones healed but the nerve damage meant no use of his arm.
      Whilst what you're doing can be done safely. I don't think that all of what I saw here falls into the safely category.

    A507 Baldock to Buntingford is a great stretch of road. I’ll like to see a comparison between your latest S1000R against the 765RS on this stretch of the road, I.e. bike handling, fun factor, usability of the features on both bike.
    I tried to keep up with 1 litre bikes on this road and I was impressed by 765RS’s capability. It was probably my own skill set which held me behind rather than the bike.

    • @BikesofRye
      @BikesofRye  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's a difficult one because it depends on how well you can ride your current bike... something like the Trident or maybe a CBR650R would be a better option. Or even the MT07? The 765RS is easy to ride honestly but at the same time it is very capable bike so it depends how you chose to ride it or what you expect from it. My advice would be to test ride one for an hour and see how you feel with it

    Nice video, but you should work on your choice of line, though. The rider in front of you does it right. He stays on the outside and turns in late. It's safer to stay away from oncoming traffic when you exit a curve.

    Can you post the rest of it? They look like old timers, no fear sort of riders on clapped out bikes.

    Who's kidding who, he blurred the speedo out of embarrassment, from the visual distortion via diametric refraction, can see it was under 37.5 mph.
    Rookie mistake!

    If you can imagine it, it might be around the next corner!
    Ride safe, don’t be a dick and don’t get us all legislated off the road.
    Track days exist.

    The guy on the middle naked needs to move his lower body when corner and not just his head and shoulders, going to come a cropper riding at that speed with that body positioning

    • @wradford1
      @wradford1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Upper body position is more important to learn. Lower body, knee out and ass off seat doesn't do much to help cornering. Your body is like pendulum and upper body leaning is more affective in reducing lean angle especially when exiting a corner. It also creates counter steer at the same time.
      You should take the time to learn it. Maybe do a rider or track day course.

    Braking the law seems to be your thing; now, go back through your own video and see where you went wrong. it's idiots like you that give motorcyclists a bad name , two important things: 1 do a life saver at junctions 2nd just remember that new riders will see this and will go out and try it and fale, I use to teach CBTs...

    Not impressed, just looks like dangerous riding to me. Do some track days. Road riding like that is careless and selfish.

    Although this is great adrenaline clips I really hope you don't run out of talent. In all honesty it looks a little reckless 👎

    Dirty rutted public roads not good for this. Go to a track instead. Much more fun and you'll be home for tea.
