I absolutely loved this game. I think about probably once a month. But.... I also raised guppies for a time. Real fish called guppies. They give live birth. They don't lay eggs. So your fems really did get super bloated bellies. Because of knowing this, I never had an issue with Preggo. Since the fish really are pregnant with their spawn in real life.
I played this game since 2018 and i really enjoyed this game since i was i dont even know what was i doin and i alway dies sometimes but now i know how to play but my cumputer is broken
There's actually a surprising amount of fish that give live birth (called livebearers!). Guppies being the ones featured here, but there's also: mollies, endler's livebearer (picture a smaller guppy), platies, swordtails, least killifish (not a true killifish though!), silver halfbeaks, and a few others! Also, while not a fish, it might surprise you to hear that some snails have live birth as well! Female malaysian trumpet snails have a sort of brood pouch the babies are incubated in, and once they hatch she releases them! Afaik most livebearers are like this in some way - eggs are fertilized and "hatch" within the body, and expelled when ready. This is different from live birth in something like mammals, where mammals have an umbilical cord but [most] livebearers do not. I've had mollies and guppies in the past, as well as endler's and halfbeaks. Really neat fish! The mollies were probably my favourites though, they could have such spunky personalities.
popcap did a lot for general game ideas if they didn't get bought out by EA and could afford it, they'd probably do a lot better than EA is doing with them right now
Yeah popcap is actually creative with their games, didn't they make the game Bookworm?. Insaniquarium and bookworm are my favorite, and of course we can't forget about PVZ
I LOVED this game as a kid, but also, the warning siren preceding the alien attack has burned a fight/flight/freeze fear response into my bone marrow, I’ll never forget it 🙃
Remember fellas, the bonus round in insaniquarium gives extra shells the more shells of the same type you click in a row! Use this to buy cool stuff for your virtual tank, like a guppy named Santa
Oh my god, I love Insaniquarium. Popcap was basically my childhood. Bejeweled 2, Zuma Deluxe, Alchemy, Astropop, Bookworm 😻 Noah's Ark, Mummy Maze, PIXELUSS
4:57 So fun fact it's actually the opposite! Each upgrade to the food makes it more filling to the fish. But that's not necessarily a good thing because fish grow up based on the amount of pellets they eat. So if they eat less pellets because of the upgraded food it takes longer for them grow up. While in the long run upgraded food is less expensive and will make you more money the time wasted to get the upgraded food as well as the extra time waiting for fish to grow means for speedruns upgrading to tier 3 food is somewhat nonsensical.
@@adiplier Interesting, I just thought it was purely based on the number of pellets eaten. Makes sense that it each tier would be worth different amounts but it seems they messed up their math if 1 and 2 are better than 3. Still I was sure first stage food was the fastest based on how quickly the got hungry and limited testing from back in the day/
Pets are use case dependent. For example, the coin collectors are way better with the mermaid and a full tank. Prego is way better with the predator fish. Skelly and the clam are both helpful to scale eco early and come back if you spend too much on fish and not enough on food. Swordfish can help with the double alien wave if you're not good enough to stack them in a corner, so at least they didn't have free reign. None of the pets are so broken that you can't even play without them, but they're all useful for something
I'm so grateful for TH-cam showing this video on my "for you" page because this game has a special spot in my heart. I grew up with this game and Fatman adventures(2D platformer where you play a yellow man).
I adore this game, and there's a million things I could say in praise for it. But regardless of the fact that I am so happy you made this video to appreciate this game, I just have to say hearing you mention the part about the screensaver/background aspect added in, Big Kahuna Reef DEFINITELY did the same thing (didn't they??? Am I crazy). The PopCap/Reflexive games were unparalleled. I would absolutely watch you play through this entire game, I love it so much, thank you
I was looking for this game for years and I randomly got ur video recommended! The moment I saw the thumbnail I knew it was as the game I used to play when I was a wee child! I so happy that I get to watch someone play it as well!❤
I'm loving this return to some classic games; especially games that aren't the obvious, regularly-covered games. I've played all of the games that you've presented in your first few episodes and I too had wonderful experiences with them. My mom, my sister, and I all played the PopCap games endlessly. My mom was hooked on Zuma. I'm really enjoying this series and I look forward to all of your following videos. Cheers!
I would love to see a playthrough of this on your channel! Or even just more episodes. No matter how many playthroughs of this I watch, it just never gets old.

I've never seen your channel, but as soon as I saw the thumbnail, I immediately clicked! Loved this game so much! Even downloaded an apk for Android a few years back for the nostalgia.
I remember watching my friend play this when I was younger, and the look of the game combined with the aliens randomly attacking gave it a kind of an eerie vibe to younger me, and I liked it
I remember I played this alot when I was a kid!! Brings back the memories especially getting pets to protect the fishes in the aquarium and they also give extra coins in the tank its so cool!!
I remember playing this game when my father introduced me to games (1000+ game, he even make a "homemade" app for the games he "download") and this is one of the games, i always make the fish died lol, i have unlocked all the aquarium themes and fishes (btw my favorite are the snail) even defeat all the boss, truly a wonderfull time with dad (note: he's not yet dead) TH-cam really made my childhood memories come back by a random vid

This video was just recommended to me last night. Not only did it help me fall asleep, I woke up this morning and saw that the game is $0.99 on Steam right now. Easiest purchase I've made in a while. I LOVED this game growing up.
This game brings back so many childhood memories i spent with my father together playing this game. I still remember i was so afraid of the aliens i would freak up and gave the mouse to my father so he can take care of them. Definitely will wait for the second episode
