Always try to be mindful - a good knife user needs to be proactive, polite and dignified when using a knife in view of others. Avoid un-necessary flourishing movements or anything that might be mis-perceived as brandishing or be seen in a threating manner.

UK knife law allows you to carry non-locking pocket knives with a blade length up to 3 inches (7.62 cm) without any need for a valid reason.
Knives with a fixed non-folding blade, a folding knife with a blade over 3 inches in length or a folding knife which locks in place require the person carrying such a knife in public (Whatever age), to have good reason for carrying the tool.

I recently picked up one of these so I was glad to see your video in my feed. You have a lot of videos I haven't watched. I gotta figure out what's going on with my TH-cam. It's not giving the recommendations of the people I watch and comment on all the time.
Anyway, this was a nice video I know. I was glad to see your comparisons with other knives. I got the copper version and it is super heavy, but it is such a cool blade shape. Interesting to me how it works even without a lock because of the finger choil.

It's a solid & robust knife, yet compact... I like the look of the copper, to be fair, but I guessed it may be a little heavy, though I'm sure it's still nice to carry 😉
As regards YT, I have a similar experience. I watch one of your videos or another that I subscribe to, yet I find that I've missed quite a few... 🤔

Agreed, a great blade shape, and moreover, super useful too.
I think a 3mm blade stock would have been nice, rather than 4mm, so it would be better at slicing through cardboard, etc - but hey, I'm still happy with it.

Snapped the tip off my Byrd Tern so I've got this bad boy on order. Hoping it is as good as the Tern as that was a brilliant EDC UK legal carry knife.

I'm sure you won't be disappointed, as this makes for a robust EDC.
I just adapt the blade to a 'slash-slicer', using a low-angle when opening boxes, etc...
Otherwise, it can be difficult to 'cut-through' items, due to the blade stock.
Since you enjoy Spyderco, take a look at the HH Urban version - a very good EDC too!

I would like them to perhaps have Red underliners with a neutral shade, i.e., dark grey scales on top or a Red H insignia embedded on the scale, rather than Red all over...

😁 I have to admit, the inner 12yo in me really quite likes it. I bought something similar when I came back from a school trip in Boulogne, France 🇫🇷 in '84.
A steel flick comb, with black covers, but it was super cool at the time.
At £75 it's not happening unless HH sent it to me for review...
Not long out of the Intensive Care Unit, so haven't been earning money of late, just going to review what I got at Sharp Show recently...

Got the chance to handle one of these at the show. Great UK friendly edc knife. Well designed and has a feel of quality far above it’s price. One of those knives that has that instinctive feel.
Only reason I didn’t pick one up was l was focusing on other knives on the day, knowing that I can get one of these online from HH 😀

Hey Gus , great review . Good to see the man back doing his thing ! Got the original and love it . Prefer it to the original Pilar . Got mine dialed in to " Spydie flick " and flick shut via that double detent . I would agree with you about the thickness of the blade stock . That geometry won't give you the sharpest blade , but it's stout and sharp aplenty . Go steady Gus , A T B Tony . 🐴🏴
