In the episode "Boom Town" The Ninth Doctor also explained to Jack and Mickey why his TARDIS looks like a Police Box after Jack asks why. It's a nice little explanation for a newer younger audience going into this fresh but for us classic fans it's old information to us.
Ah cool, I didn’t remember it was already explained :)
I can tell you are addicted to the show, uploading at 6am lol... Love seeing your reactions everyday it's like reliving my childhood. Keep it up!
This was filmed yesterday but I didn’t edit it yesterday so did it today. However most of my reactions are filmed from 7-9am so yeah I am loving it 😂 can’t wait to watch more :)
Yeah, after this point the mini episodes really ramp up and not all of them are necessary. I’m pretty sure this was originally just a deleted scene from the start of ep 2 that was repurposed into a mini episode
Ah okay. Still nice to see I guess :)
Well, the TARDIS' Police Box shell is a - sort of - 1929 MacKenzie Trench design London Police Box, but, as usual, the TARDIS never gets anything quite right - except when she has to! They were commonly around until in the seventies and eighties, when they dwindled. You can look them up online.
I don't know if this is still possible but, at one time, you could go onto - I think Google Street View - to where there is one - or one is represented - and if you click on a certain arrow to the left towards the Police Box doors, the doors open to reveal the TARDIS interior. I suspect it's findable or a recording of someone doing it is. Very meta!
My great aunt lived just around the corner from Hendon Police College and there was a Police Box just around the corner.
Yes - that is still on Google Street view. Earls Court Road, London, outside the entrance to Earls Court Undergroud Station
@@Llanchlo Hm. I just tried it. Must've lost the key! lol.

I’ll have a look :)
@@HamzaReactz There's a shorty from a fan that shows it. It was placed on Google for the 50th. Since then, the 'Easter Egg' may have been removed.
A bit late to this one but here it goes.
The source of the police box thing is what is called the Chameleon Circuit. It does exactly what the Doctor says. The problem is that it broke when it landed on Earth in 1963, resulting in the situation as 11 explained it.
In a classic episode, he did get around to fixing it, but the Tardis either blended in too well, or stuck out even more (like a pipe organ in the middle of the sidewalk). As a result, he disabled it again locking it into its iconic look.
When he said it might be a fault, that's him not being sure if that's a bug or a unique feature, and flip flopping between the two.
An example of an accurate tardis shell would be a vending machine in a lobby or a computer bank in a lab.
Ah cool. Thanks for telling me :)
Sorry about that, didn't realize the TARDIS was explained in a minisode, from memory it wasn't explained in the actual modern era (since it's common knowledge from classic era), so didn't think it would have been a spoiler
Don’t worry it’s fine :)
One Doctor fixed the circuit and the TARDIS did change, still didn't blend in though e.g a blue & flowery wardrobe, in a scrapyard a pipe organ outside a garage, a pair of gates on a alien planet before being the ol' reliable police box again. So he could almost fix it, and Donna would've helped him, but had to have her mindwiped to save her life. But like the Eccleston Doctor says, he likes the Police Box.
Tbh it started as a cost saving measure back in 1963, but if the TARDIS started majorly changing (as opposed to the Police Box having tweaks and new paint jobs, like the RTD era Police box vs the Moffat era Police box-different but still a police box) now, for an extended period instead of one story or 1 story arc ala the Black & White TARDIS arc in the audios ( & even in that the TARDIS was still a Police Box, just 2 independent halves, one as a black police box and one as a white Police box for 9 stories), it'd almost feel wrong.
Ah okay. Thanks for telling me that :)
Is another episode today? Can’t wait to watch the Matt smith era.
There’s one today :)
yeah this is the only time they really explain the thing with the Tardis, basically the Doctor's Tardis has a faulty Camilo sericite which means it got stuck as a 1960s police box because in the first episode of Doctor who classic that is what it chose to look like. But then it got stuck, the Doctor has tried to fix it and he does in the classic series for a short time (but it kind of still didn't work properly). However I think the context is that by the time of the modern series he's given up trying to fix it, and also because he has grown attached to the Police box look
Ah okay, thanks for explaining that :)
When you get to Meanwhile in the TARDIS Part 2, there's a good quality version here: th-cam.com/video/mFdKpZvHYJo/w-d-xo.html
Also Ik you probably won't need it now, but there is a much better quality version of Part 1 here: th-cam.com/video/-Uw3m3xdZSY/w-d-xo.html
Ah thank you! I’ll save part 2 to my watch later :)
When you uploading the next proper episode? I can’t wait
Uploading now :)
I thought we got to see Amy floating in the minisode but maybe i m misremembering - part 2 i think is sort of important.
Cool! Can’t wait to see it :)
Some of the minisodes are good enough to be full episodes, where some are just a bit comedy, but they're worth doing in general. :)
Yeah true :)
When’s the next proper episode reaction
Uploading now :)
Definitely didn't need to watch this, but it bridges the gap for the intro to episode 2, why she's dangling outside the tardis. I'd say none of the mini episodes are required watching. Well there is one in season 7. But saying more would be... _spoilers!_
Ah okay, makes sense then :)
Drop another who episode today if you can
Dropping one today :)
Honestly I forgot this existed
Fair enough 😂
nearly all the many minisodes in the Matt Smith era are kinda eh... and it's confusing to work out when to watch em
They're cool tho
@@nathanjordon6950 cool like the evil water that needed to be locked up by freezing on Mars!
I guess we’ll see what I think but yeah this one is meh or just not required watching :)
