I've got a 2013 Tig with intermittent low oil pressure issues. This vid was highly informative to me as I quest for possible cause. I am very interested to see the reverse version of this vid to understand how you would put it back together before I undertake a similar top end troubleshooting quest. Til then, my next steps are to attack from the other side and look for junk in the pump, or hopefully maybe just a little bit of mud on the pickup tube from a dirty oil change long since forgotten. Of course I vote for show it all, the pan and what needs to be removed etc to get access. Would like to see how that retainer clip came out on the oil regulator.. would like your lecture on how it works.. and yes more video on fixing replacing the wiring harness for the coils .. really good videos, yours have those details that make us scratch our heads in amazement 👍🏻👍🏻

Hi I've just bought this car. On start up (when cold) it will briefly tell me twice to turn off engine and check oil. But when at usually temperature it doesn't come back until when cold again. I have checked the oil level (electronically) and it seems fine. the car seems to go through petrol at a large rate. More than normal. I ran the car through a Bluetooth diagnostic and I got this. Basic OBD2:P0441 (pending) - Evaporative Emission System Incorrect Purge Flow I took the oil cap of when running. It seemed to suck more than blow so I'm a bit stuck as to what to do.
Man this video could’ve saved me. I ended up having mechanic convince me i needed a new engine (no compression) when they put the new engine in immediately leaked 1.5 liters of oil out of oil filter housing gasket. Made the mistake of a new used engine instead of rebuilt. 3monrh Warranty didn’t cover leaks 😂 $550 later. Now leaking on the top of engine block same place the old engine leaked. 2 mechanics unsure where it’s coming from. Have you fixed the oil leak showing up on top of block? $8k later i still have a car that doesn’t start. Initial issue was car wasn’t starting properly. Now alternator. Lots of money later and my car still isn’t that nice. These things are a pain unless you got a really good mechanic or work on them. Do research and buy 2015 and above in 2.0l took them years to get it right. The 1.8l’s ran for 200k miles easy they changed to faulty engines for about 6 years
in my case the problem (oil pressure warning on idle with or without miss fire on all cylinders) was dirty vvt adjuster/magnet! Litle bit of parts cleaner sprayed in each hole and problem is solved!!!
Did this ever fix your oil pressure issue? Mine comes on after long drives and at idle. I really don't want to be dropping the oil pan to check the pick up tube. Awesome shades.
Can I get your advice? I did spark plugs PCV valve and then waterpump and timing belt do you think it's having other issues the cap had minor sludge and dark oil after recently changing it no overheating or white smoke. I feel my mechanic is ripping me off🤔
I just did mine. My rocker went completely flat lol. I tried zipties, but one snapped right as I got the cover off. But, I moved the exhaust cam all around to get the new rocker in, and got the valve cover back on with no issues and without the exhaust cam pinned down. Just went slow and it runs fine, no binding. New bolts + correct torque seemed to be the key.

So I have a problem with my A4 2.0TDI. The oil pressure warning light comes on, I checked pressure and I read about 1.4bar at idle and no change at 2k. On those engines what is the most common cause? I have read its the oil pump drive axle that gets rounded. Is that true?

When I give it a go it goes and sometimes it comes back. I had Mobil 1 5/30 oil in my car and I was seeing this warning every now and then. I recently did maintenance and put 5/40 castrol oil. Now I see the oil pressure warning more often. How should I go about this problem? Can you help?

So was this an oil pressure problem only at warm idle? On channel 159 I'm seeing the low oil pressure switch start ticking off around 80*C / 176*F but only at idle. If I raise the RPMs over 950ish the switch closes again. Seeing codes P164D and P0341 mostly, and occasionally some other camshaft related codes. Camshaft phase offset is really weird too, +13 degrees and camshaft Intake Adjustment at 38 degrees.

MAKE A VIDEO ON CLEANING WHEEL SPEED SENSOR!!! Audi/VW has massive issue with abs not allowing breaks to work at speeds under 10mph in bad road conditions, extremely dangerous and scary.

I think you should still drop the oil pan to find that retainer clip and confirm that's the problem.

Great content right here. Ever have an oil pressure issue at high rpm's? Oil pump and pressure regulating valve are new.
That turbo is stock, but it's just the JHI K03 and it doesn't have the housing that you can open up - three bolts.

Yes I need to change out my rocker arm for intake, I don't think the zip tie method will give me enough room 😅
