Thank you for showing step-by-step. I've already seen several videos of how to pitch this tent and they all skim over the fiddly bits - probably the bits we most need to know about - yours is the most complete/comprehensive.
The only thing these videos never mention and they should because it is really important is, if you are camping and it is a nice warm/hot day you should release a small amount of air out of the beams during the day. Reason for this is the air in the beams expands with heat and a popped beam will ruin a camping trip and I have seen this on campsites where the new shiny tent ends up with a popped air beam and is sagging because of this expansion and the family break is ruined. Very informative video 😊
thx guys for the video. I got as far as the issue with confusion over the ground peg corners and your deduction of the instructions confirmed my suspicions. Worked a treat today. Happy camping! Peace
We have had this tent for 2 years now. Last year we bought the porch. The porch isn’t as easy to erect as the tent. I tend to put a little more air into the beams. I find it gives better stability. The last time we used the tent we had the most horrendous thunderstorm which went on for hours. I have never known rain like it but the tent kept us completely dry. Someone asked about stability in the wind. This tent is very stable but you do need to peg all the guide lines out and put the pegs in at the correct angle of 45 degrees. To get the tent back into the hold-all you need to make sure all the air is removed from the beams and from inside the tent too. I think it’s also advisable to dry off the underside of the sown in groundsheet with some towels as you are folding the tent up to get it back in the hold-all. Overall this is a great tent and I would highly recommend it.
graham Harrison we always camp only 2 of us, so decided not to buy the porch yet. And you are right, we always take towels with us to wipe of rain from sides and bottom, otherwise will have to set it up again in garden to let it dry 😬
I've watched this video several times ready for my first solo camping trip this weekend. It's the most informative video I've found so thank you for going to the trouble of making it 😁 x
Joanne Isley - Completely agree with you, great video of the real world - and I'm solo camping too. Would like to know how you got on if you read this.
Thank you for making this video! Just bought this tent and great to see real ppls experiences! We are excited for our first trip in it, just need warmer weather!
Great vid :-) I just bought the same tent in the sales too. It's still in the bag and won't come out till spring but this has given me a fantastic insight into what to expect. I won't be walking around any exposed pegs with bare feet though!
Andrew Ringrose first time was a struggle because we couldn’t remember how it was folded 😅 Second time took us 5 minutes So it’s fairly easy one you get the hang of it
Just bought this tent after seeing it beside us at a music festival, seriously impressed with it, your video will help so much when it's delivered:) Thank you so much !
Should have watched this before I took mine out last weekend, could not for the life of me work out how to put that pole in the rain cover, plus my beams are all wonky
Hello Kara, thanks for the vid, just bought one of these tents, don't know when I will get to use it,maybe later in the year.Did you find out what the whistle was for, probably goes off when the air pressure reaches its maximum. Thanks, very entertaining and informative.Alan
Brilliant coverage and highlights the quality of this tent. I have sent other makes back due to poor quality control. Nice to see Berghaus provide Mesh on BOTH doors with a rain brow protector which is quite rare.
hi, I watched your video last summer when i decided i wanted to get this tent and last week i finally bought one on sale! i loved your video it was very informative and loved your narration, would be nice to put a face to the voice, ive been looking forward to other videos of yours but not been notified of any yet, please do a follow up, and how you lay out your interior, and if you bought the air porch to go with it, thanks again
Hi there! Thank you for your comment, it’s nice to know there are people that appreciate my video =) I will try and do more videos once the weather improves; however, next weekend we are going camping, so if the weather permits I will film how we take down the tent. We were not very lucky last couple times when we had to take it down under the rain. We didn’t buy the porch, because after camping with the tent, we realized that it’s plenty for 2 of us. We just use inside bedrooms as 1 big bedroom and use ‘living area’ as a porch (it looks like one, once you open up both doors). So, hopefully in a week or 2 I will have couple more videos up on my channel =)
@@karasgeekyadventures8766 thank you for the reply, camping next week, your brave! There is a Berghaus Air tent page on Facebook I just joined which is very informative, I look forward to your video, ps. I hope you haven't scratched you foot again, I felt that it looked painful! 😯
Hello! Can anyone help me? The recommended eurohike carpet in small comes up small as we can see. Did you or anyone try the eurohike medium for the living area? If anyone can advise would be fab! The eurohike medium is 220cm x 280cm. Thanks
Going to buy this exact tent, not worried about the waterproof side of it, but when it's inflated and guy lines are pegged out etc, how sturdy in windy weather, better then a conventional poled tent?? Great video too, very informative :-)
We haven't really camped out on very windy day yet. But we went camping this weekend and even though it was freezing cold, big tent makes it enjoyable - plenty of space to set up table and chairs inside to enjoy meals =) If we go camping in windy weather, will update you!
@@karasgeekyadventures8766 thanks, I just mean regular wind, mainly camp during the summer, so I'm buying tomorrow, won't use til hotter weather. I'm too much of a wuss to camp in the cold lol.
No harm, but the men didn’t have a clue, since you always loosely peg all four corners, then after the middle is done, work from back and then peg out properly. She was the one who told them to read the instructions; she was sensible and knew that if you don’t know what you’re doing, check the process!

the lady is comical I thought at one point we would see an ambulance on site due to her scatch on her foot LOL... good video and made it look easy
Great to see normal people who dont know what thay doing😀 just like me. Loved every minute of it. Ste

Yup, found a camping site where fire is allowed =)
No, from that time on we made sure to hammer down the pegs all the way to the ground! lol
How long did it take to set up?
Well done, thank you.
We need to see how to put it away. The tricky bit please not the easy bit. Many thanks.

Hello Nicola
Check out my last video where I show camping set up. We actually found that smaller carpet is better. It leaves room for muddy shoes =)
Kara's Geeky Adventures ahhh yes! Good thinking and good advice! Thanks
This is a classic demonstration on why you should read the instructions BEFORE attempting to erect any tent, but good effort though.

Steve Edwards gosh, lucky you! I think when we bought it, we had like 20% off
Wife: "ouch! My foot is bleeding and hurting!"
Husband: "so this tent isn't freestanding"
🤦♂️🙄
I loved the way that they were so focused on putting up the tent they they totally blanked her injury 🤣🤣
I agree what a ignorant peckerhead he is .
She’s hard work her
🎉
Did anyone listen to the ladies concerns about her bleeding foot 😂
36mins of pain!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worse than watching paint dry, my life !
Is this a joke or something.its an inflatable tent!
Great video but just wish the lady would shut up talking and let the guys just build the tent no wonder you cut your foot to busy nattering on 😂😂😂
