🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬 I'm kenyan Accasia mall is my market place naguru is my home, I'm learning slowly by slowly but I'm sure il know many joints, accasia mall is like my sarit center or thika road mall , we love you Ugandans we feel home when we r here and we have learnt some of your language I love governor place and cayenne bugoto and Isabella ntinda, bravo kampala it's truly the pearl of Africa.
Here is my version about the origin of the name kampala, (I learnt it from school) Back in the day the Kabaka(king) would move from the palace in mengo to the forest hill (kampala) to hunt Impala's . The locals would say the Kabaka has gone to the "akasozi ke'impala" meaning "a hill of impalas" with time the locals phased out the word" akasozi" giving us " ke'mpala" which eventually became kampala.
I think it's a fusion of the two stories. "Akasozi ke'impala" sounds just about right but we shouldn't forget that it's the British who introduced the name Impala to Buganda. The locals certainly must have had a different name for them before that.
Hi Phil I am Mozungu Robert from KIsaasi, although I'm. Back in the UK at the moment, so many memory's of Acacia Mall. Ryan my son who is in KIsaasi back at school loves it there. The 3D visual ride on the rollercoaster shooting all the dragons, Sharwarma at Meza. We know the owner with the ponytail. They are all. Missed while I am here in the UK. Thanks!!
