I have followed the instructions in the books religiously and they always look like a jumbled ***** mess. I tried doing it upside down and wonders will never cease. It worked. I actually did a happy dance and had tears of joy being able to get that stitch to look beautiful. Thank you so much Jennifer. Corrine was right you have so many little tricks that make stitching so much easier.
Thank you for your tips and tricks Jennifer. What an Aladdin’s cave all those beautiful threads and ribbons. My favourite bird the kookaburra could listen to their song all day.
I am so happy you showed the end part of your trip to the studio, it was almost like going to heaven to see all those lovely colors in a picture, what it must be like to be there in person? Thank you, always, for sharing your lovely process. Enjoy the day! Catherine
Thanks Jenny. Great tutorial again, you do an amazing job. I too need to be quiet when I stitch! The tutorials are great for those of us who do not have access to face to face classes. Much appreciated. ❤
wow twisted chain is gorgeous! thank you for your very clear instructions to do this stitch successfully. lovely pieces by your students. if i was in the colour stream studio i think i would be like a kid in a candy shop!!! i'd have to have one of everything. thanks for sharing this all with us today jennifer. appreciatively, linda from california
Hi Jennifer Thank you for sharing I have looked at this stitch before and never mastered it. Your ideas are wonderful and I will try it now upside down which I know will work for me too on my sample piece which is turning into a stitchery piece as well. I look forward to seeing how the bag evolves. OOOOh that shop!! Those embroidery threads!! Isnt it funny how everybodies embroidery piece is so different I really enjoyed seeing all your students work which is amazing ! Some great ideas there as well.
Yes, Tracylee - I try very hard as a tutor to make all my students work their own. So I teach the same stitch to everyone but encourage everyone to create rather than mimic me! 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thankyou for all the hints and tricks Jennifer, but most of all for the twisted chain, I could never get it right and avoided it like the plague, but you have made it so easy, can't wait to give it a try now !
Thanks so much for ‘your’ time Jennifer, that was a very helpful tutorial! I have finished a small piece today using some thread and ribbon from the starter pack. I am so pleased with it, definitely not perfect but I am learning something every time I thread the needle. So much fun.
Your instructions are perfect and now I think I will be able to do this stitch. One question; the video doesn't show how you did the small pink flowers on the right side (silk ribbon twisted chain). Is this a ribbon stitch?
I just practiced twisted chain for the 1st time, and I could not have done it without this video. Thank you so much Jennifer!

Hi Helen, perfection is overrated, in my opinion. I am pleased that you enjoying working with the thread pack!
