Foolproof Flower Embroidery
Thank you Jennifer. Your video was great. I really liked the close up shots. It was easy to see how you were doing the stitches. We girls here in the U.S. would really love to take a class with you in person. Since that is not possible your videos,along with your flower book, is giving us a chance to learn from you. You are never boring, we love your chatter and the bird’s singing is beautiful. Thank you for showing us your dead tree! It’s so interesting watching how it evolves and the stitches you use. You explain the stitches so well. Lots more please. Xx

I love your snippet videos Jennifer. I learn so much. A lot of people struggle to stay in the middle of the screen, but that’s ok. Your creative enthusiasm is so much fun to watch. Don’t feel pressured to do long videos, do you. I would love to be able to take a class with you, however, being in the UK makes that impossible so these snippets are wonderful and I am very grateful, thank you so much for sharing your time and experience. I have your books which are fantastic but these snippets bring everything to life. Cx

Thank you Jennifer for the video. This has been so useful in seeing how to use coughing to add these random twigs on the tree. I have found some old iron on embroidery patterns in a box of my mother's sewing bits. Yes old fashioned but a couple of really nice basic scenery prints that I was thinking could be enhanced . I am going to use them as a practice stitch library and turn them into slow stitching pieces of work. First up is one with a tree,so you can guess what I will be adding.

How easily you break down the stitches, Jennifer - thank you! And you did just fine staying in the center of the screen; it does become muscle memory after a while. Embrace the awkward and unfortunate - my new motto!!!
haha, I hope i get better at it. I do my videoing outside so I think I relax too much and forget that there camera is there!

I think the video turned out fine. I was able to see your stitch placement with the close up shots (which I personally like most of the time). Yes in a few spots it could have been a bit more focused, but that will come with practice. I bet you tell your students that too!! Thanks

Another wonderful video Jennifer. I’ve actually been trying to do my first ‘daily stream of consciousness’ this afternoon! Just love your tree and the stitches used to make it old and gnarled. I love slow stitching and will use this technique in my next piece.
