    In the Netherlands we’ve got the band the Analogues, they also try to recreate Beatles music live as original as possible.

      I find that the Analogues are a little stiff....yes they do every note, you get the sense that it is a job. This cover band seems alive...even ending PW on a whim and it worked... because even if they want to do justice the classics, it must get boring playing the same every show.

    They aren't pretending to be The Beatles. They are playing The Beatles music without imitating them. That is different and good. Of course no one can ever compare to The Beatles.

      Absolutely right. There should be more of this. Don't imitate, just do your best job with the music that suits your style.

    They're one of the best Beatles cover bands out there, if not THE best. No wigs or suits or moves, just the music. Rather than playing an impression of the Beatles, they play the songs. Great.

    When you try to play Beatles numbers it's then you realise how complex they are.

      When I began to learn to play Guitar, I told myself to begin with something easy... I picked up "Yesterday". It was the Schock of my Life... ;) Many years later, when I WAS able to play Guitar, I choosed another "easy" Beatles Song: "I`m the Walrus". The SECOND Shock of my Life... :) I love the Beatles.

    • @jv-ep2tc
      @jv-ep2tc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      the mystery is not about the complexity. its about the magic. not everyone can access that. if they could, the beatles WOULD HAVE formed other groups and become managers.

      It's hard for even a good guitarist to play some of George's complex chords where you have to stretch your fingers 5 frets on he bottom 5 STRINGS and be able to note the low E with your nose. Lol

    Remember that Will once had to since "Christmas" over and over again at the very top of his range as he and his four-man band managed to recreate The Wall of Sound, at least from the moment Darlene opened her gob . Here they manage (with a lot more advanced technology) to create something The Beatles struggled to perform live. But, in the end, you have to be able to play and sing this stuff or you don't pass first base. I'm in awe.

    Ohh God how wonderful, like going to see the Boston Symphony perform Mozart or something..!! You don't a lot of chances in this life now to hear the Beatles music brought to life, this is wonderful. The music is so freakin fabulous. And these guys expertly bring it to life with reverence and love, it's so obvious. So wonderful that it's no tribute band in the sense that they try to look like them or any of that nonsense. This is sheer love of the greatest rock compositions in history. Period. Okay that said, some beefs or comments: this shit ain't easy to sing and so I'm impressed that they have as little pitchiness as they do, especially live when the instruments are so damn loud. The guy that sings lead on Bird Can Sing, though, that was rough, folks yikes...sorry just being honest. Doesn't seem to lie in a comfortable place for his voice, maybe a bandmate might help out or how about double it and have Will or someone sing it with him in unison? Just an idea. Now I went to see them at Calvin Theatre in Northampton Mass and never understood why exactly but the voices, were way too low in the mix and what was the great magic of Beatles music? Their singing-magnificent. !! So that was very disappointing, I even got to where I went to plead with soundman, but gave up... Please please emphasize the vocals over all else. Your intrumental playing is dynamite, but just dial it back volume wise. There, said my piece. Keep bringing the good stuff, gents

    Alright, alright, I know I've already talked enough shit on this comment section, but one thing, do yourselves a favor and watch and listen to them play the entire Abbey Road album - it's the best thing I've ever heard, sheer love and reverence for the greatest rock compositions in history. Period. The good thing is that being in a studio the volume of the instruments vis a vis the vocals is controlled and well, you gotta hear it..>!!

    I went to their last show at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton, Mass with high expectations; sadly I left early totally bummed out because the instruments terribly overwhelmed the vocals. Sorry, but these magnificent songs are meant to have the vocals paramount, not under the mix; I wanted to throttle the soundmen, but my wife's ears were hurting so badly that we just left and man, I had been counting the days. I guess I was hoping to hear that wonderful clarity ad devotion evident in those live in studio recordings of Abbey Road. I still wish I could these wonderful songs performed someday with someone at the sound board who understands what
    the Beatles were all about, I feel this band gets it, but they can't be doing sound at the same time

    • @toppermost66
      @toppermost66 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @pputnam100
      @pputnam100 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tom Diab Well, true, they certainly play better than they sing, but their singing is passable and damn efficient, it's that the mix was bad. You're so right, the Beatles had such fabulous vocals. Did you ever hear these guys in those videos of them in a recording studio doing a complete album (you never give me your money...) ? It's terrific cuz the vocals dominate the mix
