    Damn, they're breathless. You can imagine the amount of effort it took for them to bring that zebra down, and that's saying a lot because cheetahs don't usually hunt zebras, as they're too big for them

      Hell zebras are too big for leopards lol, but cheetahs are semi social and hunt together for big prey

    • @GeorgiaAndrea

      If they hunt alone, they go for smaller preys but in a coalition, they will definitely aim for something big like an ostrich or zebras. I just wished the females would do the same so that their offsprings have a better chance of survival.

      That’ll happen too, as cheetahs are starting to form coalitions, they can bring down bigger game and keep smaller predators at bay. A single cheetah could be overwhelmed by a flock of vultures. A coalition of 3 big males, we’ll only a leopard or lion would be likely to steal. Or group of hyenas. If they keep evolving like this, they’ll lose some speed but gain size and strength.

    Lots of recovery needed. A cheetah, in order to run as fast it does, needs its body temp to rise to dangerous levels. That is why you are seeing them panting like crazy. They are trying to cool off. They must do this before feasting.

    • @smarthungyo

    • @AA-tz2bm
      @AA-tz2bm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they pant because they do aerobic respiration like us so lactic acid builds up eventually because it later becomes anaerobic respiration when they run that fast. it obviously strains them and they can only run at full speed for like 300m-500m.

      Hahah the jackals never really chase off cheetahs like this group not even two jackals can do that to one cheetah. Unless the cheetah have Cubs and their is in any danger. And as long the cheetah mother got enough to eat so she can breastfeed her cubs. She will try to protect her meal at first then she will go to her cubs. Anyway I'd never see an jackals show a big threat to any cheetahs and I watch alot of animals planets shows 😃 But however you are Right about one thing ,the cheetahs does lose their hardworking meals against other predators like the big threat, hyenas, lions and groups of wild dogs. Even sometime leopards. And yeah it sad they also get chase away by vultures.
