Good introduction video and just got my Dyer's 6-71 on my bbc Vega. Just a supportive comment to add would be to show the difference between a small and large bore blower case so others know there is a difference when shopping for one.
As again, another outstanding video about superchargers. Keep up the good work. I am planning a supercharger install on a '76 Corvette and all the information I obtain is beneficial to me.
Great video , i put a single carb weiand blower on my 32 coupe running a 350 chev , its the cheapest way to get instant hp , always been a fan of supercharger over turbo and the motor runs 30 degrees cooler with the air ramming down its throat
Im getting ready to build a budget small block for my 64 elky and want to put the whiniest blower out there on it , whats your opinion on the whiniest blower out there ? Great vid btw and thanks !
You should be close a blower is supposed to add another 50% of what the motor makes nsturally aspirated so 535 should make right around 800 after the blower. That's a good hp number. Nice job. Subscribe if you'd like
@@70sStreetFreak 565/610 376LS NA. E85. 1580 crank 26psi e85. I’m putting a Vintage 6/71 Littlefield on my bosses 409 for a nostalgia thing he’s doing. It’ll be like 600-ish @ 15 over. I like blowers but I also like going really fast and old roots blowers just don’t do that anymore in comparison to modern parts. They look cool though but I’m not worried about anyone with a blower as far as winning races.
@steveseagul Those are some impressive number. I like the simplicity of them and the instant power factor. A procharger has really been crossing my mind lately too

That would be a good point to talk about

all 2-71 i have run across were small gen. sets on boat to run cabin light and navigation equipment on tralwers
Where exactly do you go to find these things?
You can find these motors in junkyards and the blowers come from old semi engines
The 871 Detroit blower has a completely different case. If you find one that looks like your 671 in the video then it is an aftermarket case.
Correct
awsome....do a video on converting the gmc to work on a v8 and what it takes to do it
I can make that one of my next videos, subscribe and follow along.

Thanks for that video, what is the pitch of that belt, don't forget You want to sell that 671 I am your guy to Buy....
Haha I'll remember you but no problem it's 1/2 inch pitch
I put a 8-71 on my 383 roller motor that produces 535 hp before the blower and I have 10 lbs of boost at 2200 rpm's. I hope I have 800 hp now.

@@70sStreetFreakI make 300% more with a turbo.
@steveseagul what did the motor make naturally then how much after the turbo?

if gmc blower all have to do is count ribs on side of blower. 3 ribs per side 6-71,4 ribs per side 8-71, 5 ribs per side 10-71.
Not true
