James Sakker has a week of shorediving and spearfishing big Barramundi. The two best fish 16kg 107 cm and 10.5kg 97cm. See smaller fish shot as well as Fingermark (Golden Snapper)
How bloody awesome James! Unreal achievement mate, they are certainly a bloody cluey fish! Was great to meet you a few weeks back on the beach whilst drone fishing for snapper with Mitch from MNC fishing charters, cheers!
Yeah it was a freakish run of. 3 weeks of perfect weather leading up to that visibility and I was very lucky to be able to dive the whole period. It really helps for future diving to actually know what the structure looks like. So many huge fish and they are not dumb!! Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent!! Glad you enjoyed it was some of the most memorable diving of all time for me. So much fun and so good to eat!! Thanks for all your support mate much appreciated
Awesome mate! I'm slightly jealous, I've chased them a few times spearing and haven't come up with the goods yet. Water is rarely clean enough in my parts and when it is you still gotta find em. Then there's the croc thing in the back of your mind! And also like you say diving shallow ain't easy either, I sometimes exhale and let myself sink quietly if its shallow. Well done mate, you earned them I reckon!
Thanks mate I reckon they are extremely hard to get the scales are so tough they can be so flighty and the dirty water and crocodiles in the back of your mind don’t help!! Glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching!!
@jamessakker2117 got a good tusky at Dangerous Reef, but had outboard trouble. I think the main wiring loom to my throttle control box is dodgy. Something else to fix now 😭
@@jamessakker2117 yep, but it's a Merc Optimax 150. One day I'll get a 4 stroke. Then I'll probably just have different problems. I might try some more rock hopping, down around Sarina Beach looks good.

I know that country. Doesn’t get much clearer than that either. Nice work.
I just missed the peak time. Just now got the boat ready. We are heading out off Mackay tomorrow, it's Barra closed season but maybe a tusky or trout.
Good luck mate I hope you smash it!! Thanks for watching
