was worried about watching this after that other documentary series GNL watched, but i'm so glad i did, this seriously restores my faith in humanity LOL. just every part of it: the director taking a backseat, everyone in the staff getting the spotlight, openly talking about counseling which EVERYONE should get but especially girls in these scenarios, and of course everything about the girls themselves, the human moments of friction and fear and loss... and coming together and carrying each other when the world knocks us flat. i had been thinking of how if i hadn't been able to talk to my parents in January 2022 of literally any month of all time in the entire universe, i would have *lost*, *my*, *mind* with worry, climbing the walls, so Sheena's experience hits me like a sledgehammer, thinking how at least she WAS in touch with her family before the end. jiminy christmas!! this was excellent. everyone excelled. great job!!
It feels like I'm blaming myself when I watched the Bini girl group because at that time, I was only hearing their songs but I didn't know they were a girl group since all I knew were boy groups in the Philippines back then. Then my curiosity led me to search for the singers and when I finally watched them, I also checked out their past episodes, their stories, and their Kumu live sessions. They made me cry because I didn't recognize them right away since I'm a fan of SB19, and now there's a documentary. I got to know them better, and whenever I feel down, I watch their stories and what they've been through. Their struggles are worse than mine, so it feels like they also give strength to the blooms who have their own problems.
You guys are spot on. Before BINI, people scoffed at ppop because the general public felt like it was just a rip off of kpop. But there's something about BINI which destroyed that perception. Now, BINI is leading the way not just for ppop but for modern OPM, especially with the way they promote other Filipino artists thru simple things like using their songs in their instagram or tiktok posts.
that's one reason why she quit during their trainee era, she thought she couldn't handle the pressure, good thing they still let her come back because she's the initial pick of direk lauren to be part of the group.
Watch out for "Chapter 2 - Here With You". Coming soon but no date yet... it will most likely cover the KCon and Canada Tour experience of the girls and of course the upcoming Grand BINIverse. I feel that it will also cover the fame hate instances and the unruly reactions of some fans in the girls personal time and space.
And Biniverse cebu or smth where master jho got sick? I think + when she haven't got to go in kcon chance to be in there and other struggle but hopely the next documentary will be also a focus to other members :))
01:28:59 Agree with what you said about Pantropiko! Personally I think that song is overrated, and I don't mean that it's not a good song, but the way it really catapulted BINI to this level of fame is just crazy to me because that's not even their best song! I remember when they released that song in Nov '23, Blooms liked it just fine but nobody, not us nor BINI themselves, expected it to be the turning point in their career. But then they started getting viral because of their funny moments, and that made a lot of people look up their music and MVs. That was during the Pantropiko era and Blooms were working overtime to promote the song to increase the streams and climb the charts. When the general public finally caught on, everybody started discovering their discography and realized that they have so many other good (imo better) songs. Timing really is everything.
Watched it for the nth time but still I can't hold my tears in some parts of the docu. Same feelings ... New subscriber here. More Bini content please. Thanks guys...
When the trailer first came out, lot of people said it was a panic attack. I said it was merely an ANXIETY ATTACK on the part of Aiah. Some diots came after me for such shallow difference of opinions. Nope, if you look closer at Aiah, she wasnt really having difficulty breathing. MQ told her to breathe because she thought it was panic attack as well. Aiah was just extremely nervous of what's about to happen. Panic attack is when the adverse situation is already happening around the individual directly affected. Anxiety attack, on the other hand, happens while still waiting for or in anticipation of a perceived adversity or hostility to take place. In this case, the moment when she finally goes out there to perform in front of a massive sold out crowd.
I Feel Good at Salamin Salamin yung top 2 at 3 ko. From May 10 million plus lang yung Pantropiko then after 2 months around 40-50M na siya at kahit yung Karera 2-3 M palang yun.
Around 15 million lang siya mula pa last year,November hanggang early May. Karera at I Feel Good talaga nasa 1 at 2 ko at top 6 or 7 lang yung Pantropiko.
Pantropiko feels more OPM than their other songs. It blew up because the dance became popular in tiktok like most trending songs. Sadly, kpop is starting a trend making "TikTok Music" those 2-min long music with 4bar 2x chorus shiits.
This is why Blooms recommend watching it like that🤙 this song destroyed me too😂 and the meaning its about teenagers friendship/bonding its very them❤️ thanks for reacting to this song❤
Since you already have access to the iwantfc where you watched the docu watch the entire series of the bini adventures. I believe it's 17 episodes. I only saw two so far.
I think another reason why Bini had a hard start way back 2021, aside from competitions from local and international artists, was that the initial girl group that was put up by ABS -CBN was Girl Trends which was notorious for having bad performances , i believe was Aiah was to be new of GT since their DC said she was initially part of a gg that was consisted of more older girls, this give an impression to the casual viewers that Bini is just another clone of Girl trends
Agree, the Girl Trends during that time wasn't good enough and possibly the reason why people assumes to be another GT's clone or sort of + during that time it was KPOP era so people assume aswell that it was a KPOP wannabe and that type of group wouldn't be like any KPOP group and them without realizing that we don't need to copy anyone and just show our own product:)) Even some of my family members that time when they saw BINI in Asap or other shows like showtime they assumed it wouldn't be popular and won't work because they're a kpop wanna be and other stuff throwed at them (SB19, BGYO, BINI).. But for me since 2019 or 2020 I was already hook by BINI (SHA TRAINEE DAYS) and saw or witness their growth and said this type of group will grow and grow continuously and I know it will be worth stanning them without any doubts and just full trust :))
It's the Darna auditions where they saw Aiah. Her previous agency recommended her to audition for the part and when she went there, some aspirants were older than her because she was only 17-18 around that time. They asked Aiah if she had auditioned before in their Star Hunt Caravan, in which she said she did. You can watch her Kuan on One interview with Melai for that story.
Most Tagalog-speaking Filipinos tend to talk too much or be loud which is quite annoying to be candid about it. Lets face it, for the longest time, some of them do tend to mock, laugh or ridicule Visayan-speaking Pinoys whenever we speak Tagalog because of our heavy accent. Consequently, most Bisaya such as Colet & Aiah are conscious about it resulting to them either not talking as much as the other 6 girls from Luzon. But the fact of the matter is, most Bisaya can speak Tagalog almost fluently. Tagalog people cant speak Bisaya in a conversation way, leaving them wary & wondering at times if they have a reason to be worried or sumthin at was being said, nuhmean? 😂 In recent times, there has been a noticeable shift from the old stereotypical ways. I think Duterte becoming president of the Philippines, using Visayan words as often as wants to, and adding a number of people from the Visayas & Mindanao to numerous high-ranking positions in the central govt, somehow have enticed a few to learn some Bisaya words, specially the ones used for swearing. 😂
@@put.a Yun mahirap ng klaseng pop parang easy come and easy go pareho ng mga new kpop songs ngayon.
Back then, it felt like they were just copying K-pop. Their style, even their outfits, were like carbon copies. So even though I heard about them in 2021, I wasn't really into them. I still found it a bit weird, even though I knew deep down that the Philippines needed a group to represent us because Filipinos are incredibly talented! I'm glad that they stayed and didn't give up, GO BINI!!!! Love you all
@@denniszenanywhere It's because back then, we weren't used to that kind of thing and that system. So it seemed like they were copying and trying to be like Koreans/kpops, even in their dressing style. Plus, we weren't as open to that kind of idea, but now, more and more of us are becoming open to it, which is why people are probably getting used to it as well.
