I don't have much knowledge on Mickey's dance credentials but Matthew is a member of TPM which is a multi awarded dance crew in the Philippines. He also choreographed the first and second verses of "Pantropiko" while Sheena, one of the members of Bini choreographed the chorus that went viral on Tiktok paving the breakthrough of the group.
"Karera" is Bini's most intricate choreography to date, perfectly showcasing the extent of their dancing skill. The chorus also incorporates sign language with the thumbs and fingers which is very interesting.

Their choreography here is so clean, with many formations that look great. The travel steps are also very clean. The synchronization and the movement of their hands are well-aligned. I can say that they really worked hard during their three years of training.
Location is Full Out Studios in San Juan, Metro Manila. Got to take a couple classes there last time I was in town visiting family. The place is great and so are the teachers!

i like that not only their moves but their formation reflect the message of the song. i notice it especially during aiah’s lines. she walks from one side of the formation to the center then to the other side, and when she does so, a new formation happens. it’s like, you don’t have to run, just walk and you’ll see things gets accomplished. context: ‘karera’ advices the listener to take things easy, and not to rush because life is not a race. just beginning again every morning is already a success.

Back in the day, you can only see these kind of choreographies from a prestigious cheer dance competition in the Philippines. The notorious UAAP Cheer Dance competition. Universities battle it out on this one day event and if you missed it on TV, then you really missed it coz there is no social media back then. I wonder if one of the choreographers attended one of those schools coz it reminds me of those days where insane choreography, formations, and synchronization is on full display. One fatal error will drastically affect the score so prestige and honor is on the line and you can see the participants gave all they have got. Watching BINI choreos reminds me of that spirit.

Karera is actually a better song than you think, it doesn't only have good choreography, but it aswell has a message that means "buhay ay di karera" meaning "life is not a race" there's more to their songs than just singing and choreography, it has life messages that can be included in your own lives
