    I really love all your materia medica videos. They’ve been so helpful as a homeopathy student to reinforce or get a different slant on the remedies. Our entire class LOVES your videos and we would love more when you have time for them. They are invaluable. I have especially appreciated how you incorporate the written points alongside the verbal discussion. It makes note taking and retention much easier.

      Wow, your whole class watches! That makes me feel good because it makes me think that I'm reaching people out there in cyberland. I agree, the combination of audio, written, and graphics makes for a very effective learning tool. But please be patient because they are very time consuming to make. Best wishes!

    In your estimation, will Tiger Balm antidote the effects of Silicea (and perhaps other homeopathic remedies)? The ingredients are: camphor, menthol, capsicum extract, methyl salicylate, and essential oils (not disclosed which).

    Yet another wonderful and useful video...
    Please say something about
    'Biochemical Remedies' as all the 12 of them were also proved homeopathically...
    Is there any difference in terms of use and effects whether they have been used as biochemic remedy or homeopathic remedy...

    • @AllThingsHomeopathy
      @AllThingsHomeopathy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The tissue salts are not different than other remedies and, in my opinion, should be used according to homeopathic principles. Their use as biochemic remedies is not homeopathy. It's just a gimmicky shortcut that does not follow basic homeopathic methodology.

      A true constitutional tends to remain a constitutional. However, life throws all kinds of curveballs at us. So, for example, Arnica is needed for an injury, another remedy for a flu, and another remedy may be needed for the loss of a close loved one.

    I would like to share my experience. I was taking Silicea 7 CH for a month, five granules twice a day, along with Phosphoricum Acidum 9 CH and Kalium 9 CH. I started to experience side effects, specifically "dissociative anxiety syndrome." After stopping all three remedies, those symptoms disappeared. I want to emphasize that I do not suffer from anxiety; I only experienced it while taking these remedies. Can someone knowledgeable in homeopathy explain the symptoms I experienced? I would greatly appreciate it.

    • @AllThingsHomeopathy
      @AllThingsHomeopathy  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No remedy should be taken repeatedly for an extended period. You essentially gave yourself those symptoms by taking those remedies inappropriately. You were basically conducting a proving on yourself. Provings are conducted under controlled circumstances in order to study the effects for remedies. It is not wise to treat oneself. Always best to consult an experienced practitioner.

    How does it compare to Lycopodium ? The temperament looks very similar.. I don't undestand the fact that Silicea is not coward given the timidity/shyness with strong convictions/fixed ideas... Thanks already for the video!

    • @AllThingsHomeopathy
      @AllThingsHomeopathy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a good question. There is a difference between being shy and being cowardly. I can be shy but not a coward. I can be shy and still pursue my goals without giving up for fear of failure or fear of being criticized. Lyc avoids responsibilities and can give up when the going gets tough.

    Would you think silicea would have tp do with keloid scars? My daughter is a silicea girl. Her hair isnt growing (2) and she put he rtooth through her lip a week ago and the scar is turning keloid. She also had a tear trough blockage when she was a baby.

    • @AllThingsHomeopathy

    Great videos!! Thank you Dr Larry. From your experience, is silica in high potecies (such as 1M+) safe for a patient with a dental implant? Is there a danger of the implant being expelled? Or more likely in lower potencies?

      It's possible that taking Silicea too frequently could dislodge any foreign body. Best to be safe and receive care from a professional.

    I have an important question whose answer seems to elude me.
    I am curious about the like cures like tenet. For certain remedies it seems obvious, for example opium, stramonium, lycopodium, anacardium, silicea, Nat Mur, Apis. In those I can clearly see either a symbolic representation of the like cures like or that they are " a substance that causes a certain set of symptoms in a healthy person will have a curative effect when given to a sick person who is displaying similar symptoms".
    But in other remedies like chamomilla, ruta, valerian , it seems the tenet doesn't hold as they produce similar effects homeopathically as they would if the plant itself was ingested (unlike stram for instance). Ingesting chamomile tea does not produce restlessness, irritability or pain, even though the homeo remedy alleviates those symptoms.
    Whereas Coffea, does follow the like cures like concept. Ingesting coffee beans does mirror the effects that the homeopathic treatment with coffea would relieve.
    I would be very grateful to better understand this! Thank you.

    • @AllThingsHomeopathy
      @AllThingsHomeopathy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's a very good question. Some information about remedies comes from common experience, like an Opium high or a bee sting. Some comes from toxicology reports, like the effects of arsenic poisoning. This represents the gross patho-physiological information regarding a substance. But most of the materia medica derives from the much more subtle information that comes from provings. Provings bring out very fine details that would not otherwise be recognized, especially in terms of mental-emotional symptomatology. Provings elicit the effects that substances can have on a deeper energetic level. Furthermore, there is a conventional science called "hormesis" which studies the dose-dependent effects of various substances. Hormesis has discovered something that homeopathy has known for 200 years, which is that a substance like an antibiotic, for example, will kill bacteria when given in large quantities, will inhibit bacteria when given in medium doses, and can paradoxically stimulate the development of bacteria when exposed to very small doses. So the effect is dependent upon the quantity involved. This is why Digitalis, for example, can kill if taken in large doses, can suppress an arrhythmia when taken in just the right amount, and can cure an arrhythmia when taken in its energetic homeopathic form. Cheers!

    • @turquoisebabies
      @turquoisebabies 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@AllThingsHomeopathy Thank you very much for taking the time to respond, Dr Malerba. If I understand correctly then, the "like cures like" tenet is not always applicable? For example coffeea is "like cures like" in that coffee beans mimick the symptoms one wishes to cure with the remedy, whereas chamomilla does not?

    • @AllThingsHomeopathy
      @AllThingsHomeopathy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No, it IS applicable. An occasional cup of Chamomile tea can be soothing. But too much Chamomile can result in great anger and irritability. In homeopathic doses, it will reverse all Chamomile-like problems. The effect is dose-dependent. @@turquoisebabies

    My daughter was a Silica constitution as a child, developed a brainstem tumor as a teen and has lived 13 yrs with it. Past seven months were life and death, especially after radiation which almost killed her. She is on a G tube now. As she recovers, she is fitting the Silica picture again. I don't believe she can go back to her childhood remedy of Silica. Is that correct?

    IF someone chose this as a remedy, you indicated it could take weeks or months to see improvement. Theoretically speaking (and not medical advice), would this be administered once a day or once a week?

    • @AllThingsHomeopathy
      @AllThingsHomeopathy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      One could see improvement within days or even hours. It would be more accurate to say that it could take weeks or months to manifest its FULL benefit. That's why it's important to wait between doses. I recommend you watch my videos on potency and dosing. And I never recommend self treatment for any chronic condition.

    • @AllThingsHomeopathy
      @AllThingsHomeopathy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's a good question, and I'm not sure I know the correct answer. On the other hand, unless a person fits the constitutional profile of Silicea and it works really well for them, there shouldn't be any need to be taking Silicea anyway.

      @@marneangel7 A cell salt is no different than any other remedy. And either it fits the case or it doesn’t. If a remedy is the wrong remedy, then taking it repeatedly is likely to cause symptoms rather than help. Bottom line in my opinion is that cell salt theory is just another allopathic misuse of homeopathy.
