Had a mini heart attack at 2:11 😂 Way to hang with those guys despite their power advantage. Havent been to PittRace yet but plan on racing there next year, assuming theyre still on the schedule. Looks like a super fun track.
Oh man you're telling me. That one woke my ass up! That's such a fast kink and I absolutley did not expect that pass there! He made it extremely clean though and showed me I needed to stop with the throttle chop (as much as my brain would allow) in the coming laps. I hope you're able to make it out to Pitt next year. It's just the coolest track I've ever been to by far, and the entire facility is fantastic. Great viewing areas. Great paddock. Super clean. Just awesome.
Ohhh I just realized 2:11 is when I damn near rear-ended him and not when he passed me a few seconds before. Yea, I didn't expect he was about to park that thing after blowing my doors off down the straight. Yea, lap 1 got my heart going a few times lol.
You kept up with those guys Matt , ithought a few times you were gonna take pne of 'em. Im guessing they were all Vtwins ? Not sure what spec thunderbike is (?)
I kept thinking I'd be able to take one in the left esses, but that wasn't happening and I kind of lost sight of the forest for the trees. Oh well, it was unlikely I'd be able to hold down the straight to the finish regardless. Yea, Thunderbike I honestly didn't even know the rules either--just that you can get much bigger twins in it. Up to 1000cc regular liquid cooled 4 valve per cylinder. Air cooled I think they drop the displacement limit and just make it unlimited. I added Thunderbike because I wanted a race on Sunday, and I wanted one before the 2 hour endurance event, so I could start packing up earlier. It was a loooong ride home, so I just signed up for something convenient. I was going to be racing the clock more than other bikes anyway. imgur.com/IyHEDws
Which parts still have you confused? It's a big track. In my head I break it into 3 sections. T1 - T6 (turn one through the top of the bowl turn 6), T7 - T14 (the esses through the blind off-camper right), T14 - T1 (exit of t14 through the start finish on the straight). I'll help in any way I can, but I'm no expert and only been there a few times. Blizzdak Racing did a great video explaining the lines on this track you may want to check out here: th-cam.com/video/BvUOUxG594k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=82Lj57SRX2OVCsN6 You are going to love PittRace. It's so much friggen fun. I hope you have a blast.
@@TF_2ofSpades I read that too. That's pretty damn crushing news since it's such an awesome track and facility. 2 was a pretty big ask from most of the midwest guys west of Chicago--I get it. But I really hate that we don't even get one for 2025.
Thanks. Will keep watching. Hope they will let me ride my bike around it a few day before our race
I see from your videos that you made it out there. Hopefully you had a blast!
@@matttriestodothings got down to a 2:03 and change
@@paulstamper2918 fantastic. Congrats man.

Will be watching your video. A few spots still confuse me on a sighting line. Any help. Going there in 3 weeks

And I saw your bike for even less time at Daytona, heh.
