Discrimination At Singapore Airshow? Video Shows Chinese Nationals Barred from German Military Plane

  • Visitors from China at an airshow in Singapore claim they were banned from visiting an Airbus military plane. A video filmed by a Chinese blogger shows a woman wearing Airbus identification is seen asking him for his nationality. The man was attempting to enter an Airbus A400M transport aircraft owned by the German air force, the Luftwaffe. The woman tells him that she needs to check his nationality "because it is a German aircraft." When he tells her that he is Chinese, she immediately refuses him entry, saying "it's German rules, it's military restrictions."
Other Chinese visitors have also claimed online they were not allowed to venture close to the German military plane.

The most successful passenger jet in history is the Air Bus A 320 which has been rolling out of China since 2008. Components produced by Chinese companies are currently found on all production Airbus commercial jetliner types. The total value of the Airbus and Chinese cooperation reached around $500 million in 2015.China is a strategic partner as well, as evidenced by the fact that Airbus’ first final assembly line, or FAL, outside the borders of its four founding European countries was opened in the city of Tianjin in 2008. This FAL produces the A320 single-aisle family of passenger aircraft, and was joined by a Completion and Delivery Centre in 2017 for the A330, marking Airbus’ first wide-body jetliner centre outside of its founding countries.

Airbus concerned about their jets’ secrets being copied when China has been producing some major components for the Airbus aircrafts for a few years already. National militaries do not attend airshows to STIFLE international commerce, or to fan the flames of political agendas. Clearly Airbus has a contractual agreement that their aircraft WILL be advertised, regardless and this is an example of Germans knowing this and openly telegraphing, "we will do whatever the fuck we please." Considering the 800 kilogram gorilla in the room, "Shaanxi," the entire event including the Airbus mock outrage was performative.

-my advice is walk away if they simply say no and board a Korean military aircraft as well if you don’t want to be discriminated during an airshow it’s the best way you can only do.
Or yet even Guam in Anderson Air Force base, Philippines, Australia and the USA instead of Singapore that has Chinese people in it, I think the Chinese tourist should of listened next time if they are not to board the Luftwaffe, and board their own Aircraft instead.
I was also born in Guam and we have a lot of military excerises that goes on every single year, Why can they just do an air show there in Anderson than in Singapore, Pretty much would attract Korean tourists as well with an ID check and drivers license since it would make sense than a stupid passport.

Dream on.

For the politics at 3:45 - The UN security council consists of US, UK, Russia, France, China(The five major gun-runners in the world). European commission is scared of China having tech? When it's part of the job of the security council to produce weaponry for "defense" purposes. To me, this sounds more like a market competition for Euro nations that only buys military tech from European and US private companies, like saying "HEY, don't buy their tech, buy ours instead.. cause theirs are made in China". Their customers are the rest of the world that wants weaponry for "defense", and so they are competing on who gets who to be in their favorite clientele list for the next possible proxy war for weapons sales. Everyone is getting played by "who buys what from who"

C919 Is a Joke! It has Endured a Halt to Operations a Mere One Month Later .
China's homegrown C919 airliner, having commenced its maiden commercial flight on May 28th, endured a halt to operations a mere one month later.
On the morning of June 29th, C919 was set to operate MU9187, jetting off from Shanghai to Chengdu, with a scheduled return flight at 12:30 in the afternoon. However, with the aircraft still grounded as late as 2:16 PM, China Eastern Airlines had no choice but to deploy the Airbus A320 as a stand-in. Intriguingly, the C919 did manage to return to Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport that evening, albeit without passengers.

Ignorance is bliss and far too many comments on this story are brimful of bliss.

Yes, that can be a problem. When the Russians were copying the Concorde plans to build the Conkordski, fake hydraulic plans for the landing equipment were placed into the system by MI5. Russia promptly stole those plans and incorporated them into the early planes but failed to verify the plans were real. After a couple of mishaps they realised the ruse.

It is understandable if a nation forbids other particular people from viewing its military aircraft. It is theirs after all. Viewing is allowed to friends and allies, but not to potential adversaries. That's not difficult to comprehend.
