Everything in this OVA was top-notch. From the extremely detailed aircraft animation to the hype soundtrack that managed to give it a very "Top Gun" kind of feel, but the story really set it apart from that mold. A88 is at its heart, a tale about war and PTSD, of men never truly able to go back home.
