I'd like to replace 'sync" and "shift" buttons on both sides of the mixer with the "bank" buttons for every channel. The "master-cue" button I'd replace too with the "shift" button. It would be the perfect layout for this mixer
This is something I wished NI would've done to update their Z2 mixer. I like Traktor's effects in software and would've been cool to see a full 4-channel "Z4" with basically superb control and hardware effects. Sure the S8 is a thing, but just tank 4-channel mixer would've been nice.
Great review. Quattro is a great mixer. I mapp FX/on on Sync button , FX/volume on sampler volume fader , and FX/select with shift+Scroll library. (No pb with initial setting for library with that ;) Hardware FX are not crazy but it work . Écho is ok , filter and flanger too. T.delay interesting ... Other not very good for me . But the great thing is sens return to add a Pioneer RMX . It will be perfect with that (soon for me ) Good mix 👍
On release the pmx-20 went for 450$...the quattro for 1300$ Their difference in used parts and overall built quality reflects that. And the best thing, the quattro sells now for 650-750^^
Just as the Pioneer DDJ-SX and SZ, does this mixer allow you to blend 4 song on 1&3 and 2&4? Or another way to explain, can you play 4 tracks at one time with two turntables?
You can play all 4 decks without any turntables by using the mixer buttons. Or use 2 turntables that will have midi control pads like an S9 for example for when using serato and when you use the toggle switch, the pads will then control the other 2 channels and would function as cue/play/stop/pitch adjust. Using the toggle wont turn off a track that is playing. Only the faders will do that or the stop pads, obviously but I dont think toggling will give turntable spin back to all 4 decks. Only to the channels the turntables are plugged into ( not like a denon media player ) Im guessing anyway. You could basically have 1 turntable in dvs and 3 other channels available by using the pads as a transport function, whilst still having some other function set to the pads.
I still use it and it's still great, just blends beautiful and touching buttoms to dj transport as well as incorporate turntables, if you want affordable quality mixer, you can mixars, it sweet for basic skill set and more, love it.
Please can you tell me if all the controls are midi mappable? EQs, faders, sound texture buttons, etc. What I'm looking at doing is mapping the filter knob and the sound texture buttons to Traktor's internal effects instead, and also to use Traktor's internal mixer mode with different EQ and filter settings (Nuo, Xone, etc.) instead of Mixars' external mode. Can you tell me if this is possible please?
When is this due to be released in the U.S.? Also how do you load the tracks? I don't see any track load buttons but you did say track loading is done through pushable encoders. Looks like the only function that happens when pushing the encoders is back and roll. Please clarify because that's a deal breaker in my eyes.
I hear ya bruh. I'm not really a scratch dj either but I do scratch and beat juggle in my hip hop sets but I'm no where near a turntablist. I very rarely use 4 channels which is why I'm waiting on the Mojaxx review. I have the Mixars Duo mixer and I love it. That's why I wanna check this one out also. What's getting my interest is the ability of this things 4 deck mixing. I'd be able to do some dope ass house sets with that function. Also the ability to work as a stand alone controller is a plus.
MixTechTV I got a Numark ns7iii but I'm really thinking about getting this Quattro with the Rane 12s. I love that traditional feel of vinyl. I'm mostly mix House. 4ch give me more options

Just map the other two channels to an X1. Or get a Xone K2. It’s very flexible.

The two things mixer dropped the ball on was lack of a built in usb hub and not putting a better xfader in the unit.
Tre Valentine just replace it with an innofader. I’m Highly considering this getting this mixer soon.
Dope mixer ... the xfader though! needed to have followed Pioneer or Rane's lead and included an awesome xfader with a big, thick, rounded design.
