You have to select them and add "bills" that tell them exactly what you want them to make, you can customise what they're allowed to use for each bill and can have multiple bills with set amounts, or repeating bills Note that I'm pretty sure if you have a forever bill at the top, it will do that first and always try to complete it, but since it's forever, it can't be fulfilled, which means anything below that will never be completed, often having "do X amount" can be helpful if you want varied things (or a second bench) so that it can fulfil one and move to the next I'm also not very good at the game though, so I may be completely misremembering that, lol
For your grow zone issue I get this a lot. It truly is just to much is happening and the AI aren't getting enough time to do it. When a new day starts the pawns don't immediately go and do what they weren't able to do during the last day and instead will start over their chores. I reckon just set growing to a 1 priority and then you can watch and see if they are bugged or just were being lazy. another thing is try remaking the grow zones or manually right clicking with a pawn selected and forcing them to do each thing. Also to stop random fires starting use hidden conduits because they can't get effected by the Zzzzt event.
I think it may have just been bugged because as you'll see in later episodes when they release, I seem to remember this stopped being a problem I have been told I should do that, however I think most of our problems with that had been due to roofs not being built correctly, lol Since THE INCIDENT, we haven't had too many issues with those events, still useful info though for sure
you have storage of food like 60 blocks away from where they cook and eat so its over twice too far away which is why no one eats cause its too far the freezer should be next to kitchen and eating room and tables should be right next to both kitchen and food storage instead of food storage being on the other side of the entire compound from where its cooked and eaten do you have your fridge in the basement in the very last room but your kitchen where you cook is upstairs across the entire house from the stairs to basement then only eat at the table on the 2nd floor again located as far from the stairs as possible so any time you want to eat you must walk to basement and across the length of the house grab what you want to cook then walk upstairs across the house and cook and make trips back to fridge to get something forgotten to then once done walk back across the house upstairs across the house to the table to eat cause thats what you are making your colonists do to eat which is why they dont eat
Please use at least a single comma next time, that was very hard to follow, thanks for the input though In later episodes (yet to release) this gets mostly rectified, but I'm also somewhat vindicated because even with the table next to the freezer and a prep room 5 meters away, there are still numerous occasions where they simply will not eat Distance is certainly one of, perhaps even the largest reason, but it doesn't seem to be the only reason
just windering how do you use the butcher bench and like the smithy ect. im asking cus i just start today
wondering* started*
@RACOON-e3l you click on it and theres an "add bill" with multiple options
