It's clear to see that they would rather steer away from the subject all together. They aren't brainwashing his own family. If anything they cut off communication with his remaining relatives. Why would Vince, of all people, know what really happened that day? The reason this situation happened is because he neglected Benoit even though he was on of their top guys. I think he killed wrestling for a lot of people, I didn't stop watching right away myself, I was already bored with it well before that point but kept watching most PPV's... Then when I realized they didn't let anyone bleed that was it, never seen a match since (somtime in 2008, I don't know if that was Linda getting into politics or if they had to get it back to a kids show because UFC stole a lot of their grown up audience or whatever. But I like to blame Benoit for the PG-era too). Still love listening to shoots, but mostly from wrestlers active during the 80s and 90s.
      I got the news from WWE both times, that he died with the tribute show and the RAW the day after when they talked about the crimes and never mentioning him again.

      The array of questions he asks (or that he asks via his message board/supporters) is generally broad and is an environment that promotes a laid back setting.
      Just the manner and tone that he asks questions or tries to get that nugget of gossip or controversy out of a wrestler is refreshing. Not in a complete scumbag or lack of morals way, but his approach to asking questions reminds me of earlier seasons Jerry Springer (~BEFORE~ he started having the worst of the worst circus of terrible people imaginable)

Idk if Eddie was still alive Chris probably would of been too. He cried alot because he was uncertain what was going to happened next. And you know he was always quiet and not alot of wrestlers liked him. Concussions are a serious situation that can get worst without medication. He's one of many including NFL players that killed himself and his family. I'm not mad of Chris but I'm still extremely upset of the outcome.

  • @jeffnettleton3858
    @jeffnettleton3858 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

    Sick to death of irrational conspiracy theories. Benoit was known for odd behavior. Benoit suffered numerous concussions from the diving headbutt and other events in matches. Benoit was suffering tremendous grief at the loss of close personal friends, not only Eddie Guerrero, but also former partner Biff Wellington and friend Victor Mar Manuel, aka Black Cat. He and Nancy had a history of physical confrontation. Nancy had a history of physical confrontation before Chris. Something happened, an argument or whatever that turned violent. There is plenty of forensic evidence to lay out the process of Chris killing Nancy. In these situations, especially where the husband kills the wife, in an extreme moment, it is quite common for the man (and, statistically, it is overwhelmingly the male who commits these acts) to then murder the children; because, in their warped thinking, it is better to take them from the world than have them live in a world without their mother (or both). He woke his son, gave him a pharmaceutical drug, then strangled him to death. He then took his own life, for what he had done. No one broke into the home, no one ordered their deaths, no space aliens appeared and killed them, no MK-Ultra experiment in mind control. A mentally unstable person encountered a situation that got out of hand and turned into extreme violence and his actions snowballed from there, destroying his family and himself. Chris Benoit was the murderer. Face it and move on.

Now I'm not sure if you've used one of those but if your able to pull down your own body weight, hold it down long enough to tie it around your neck. But that's a Lil far fetched. A small part of me do think Benoit was framed. The case didn't last that long, and some of the evidence seemed weird or off. And some things didn't add up. Others have even said that Benoit was acting scared and panicked before the crime was committed, like he was watching his back for someone or something. I don't know, the case seems mysterious to me, but regardless...Rest in peace to Benoit and his family.

    It's nice to know there's a Episode of the "Dark side of the ring" that explains what happened,, I can't forgive him for what he did,, but if you google Chris's Brain it's pretty shocking to see the differences, I'm trying to pin it down to
    1.To many Chair Shots and diving Headbutts
    To the head, causing him to have multiple concussions and after time probably have his brain start to rot.
    2. Pain killers and steroids + Drinking never help a situation.
    3. Losing his best friend EG two years prior was probably the hardest thing for him,
    I don't think it's something he would of just done, it's sad cause he was probably one of the greatest Preforming wrestlers of his time
    And now wwe has to practically erase him from time because of the situation 😢

    This whole situation is still shocking even after all this time. My take on it is simple. Chris Benoit is still one of the greatest to ever do it you can’t deny that he’s up there with guys like HBK, Bret hart and Kurt angle for being one of the best in ring workers in wwe history. But he should be never forgiven for what he did, there is now a lot more evidence or proof that he was pretty much responsible for what happened and whether he did it because of Brain damage or not that’s still no excuse to forgive and forget something so horrific. Me personally I would like to one day see him in the hall of fame simply because they shouldn’t try to remove his career or his accomplishments from history over something that had nothing to do with his work life like I said he is still one of the greatest to do it but at the same time it’s completely understandable why the company refuse to mention his name yes it had nothing to do with his work life but he still committed an unforgivable crime.

    • @Ma5t3rCh33f

      I wouldn't put him in the Hall, but he should be recognized. Maybe have like a disclaimer or something on anything where he's mentioned or any of his matches that the WWE doesn't condone his actions or something to that effect, because there are so many amazing matches he put up that don't get the credit it's due. His Rumble win and the Wrestlemania triple threat against HBK and HHH being the biggest examples. How could anyone expect us fans to forget the celebration with Eddie after that?

      I don't know, I feel like we shouldn't be mad with him. We should forgive him. Way I see it, his son David is the only person most deserving to hate him. Clearly he looks up to Chris and loves him, maybe even forgives him. So if he isn't angry with him, why should we?

      No matter what any one says, Chris will never make it to the HOF. Like Stone Cold mentioned in an interview, his accomplishments and contributions will always be over shadowed by the fact he killed his family and himself. He'll always be remembered as one of the greatest wrestler of all time but the WWE will never mention his name again.

    • @bwareist
      @bwareist 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I don't agree with Benoit being immortalized with something like a HOF induction but at the same time he should never be forgotten either or erased from history. He should only be mentioned in historical contexts only such as his accomplishments and wrestlers who have wrestled him.

    Supposedly the text that "Chris" sent to other wrestlers, saying that his physical address was "this and that" was sent AFTER Chris had already died.
    So someone else sent that text, question is who.
    I've read a lot online about this, it just doesn't add up.
    A coroner can pretty accurately tell you how long someone's been dead, depending on body temperature, decomposing state of the body etc.
    Those reports clearly state that Chris was dead before the text was sent, hence my statement that it doesn't add up.
    Maybe people don't want to get their hands dirty by reopening the case...
