That scene is so fucking funny because of Hank, it’s supposed to be grim & disturbing but that remark from Hank makes me laugh every time. The writing on this show is second to none. Except maybe Better Call Saul. But I just like Walter more because we get to watch him go from “normal family man” to a totally self-serving cold hearted criminal, and even a murderer at times. Like when he shot Mike for no reason other than he was scared of what might happen. That scene damn near makes me cry now that I’ve watched Better Call Saul. It showed that Mike is actually a very decent person. Even if he does break the law. He, unlike Walter is *actually* doing crime to provide for his family (his sons widow, and daughter) using the cash he makes. Then Walter takes the money too so it can’t even go to his family. My heart sank when they dumped Mike’s corpse into an acid drum like he was nothing to them...

I love how Hank is portrayed at the beginning of the show, with his awkward jokes and cocky attitude, but as the show progresses you realise he’s actually a fantastic agent and in the end worked out who Heisenberg was.....excellent character
Hank is the only character in this series who can be considered as the hero because he used moral code and following the law. The others are manipulator and like to play dirty while Hank do it to fight the criminals.

@@margarethmichelina5146 he broke the law plenty of times going after his obsession. Beating Jesse in a near coma, using illegal trackers, illegal stakeouts and eventually going behind the entire DEAs back in a move that ended up costing his own life.
Hank is not a "hero", hell he might not even be a good guy. He's just as power-hungry and self-obsessed as Walt, it's just that Hank is mostly on the side of good that people write it off "doing good".
He might've "done good" but he did it for all the wrong reasons.

My favourite Hank moment was in the DEA office, he pumped up his team to catch up someone (can’t remember who), everyone is cheering, then as he and Gomez leave the room Hank says “they ain’t gonna catch him”. Makes me laugh every time.

One of his funniest moments is him being awkward in his office when Walt is fake crying, Walt goes "Hank, I-" and Hank goes "nananananana" *waves hand*

It was because he had to quickly change channels when Marie walked into the room
Hank was a perfect catalyst as a character, his constant undermining of Walt through banter caused Walt to want to subvert expectations by doing crazy things
He was a self-amused asshole, but also damn heroic. Stuck to his principles. Great character, kept wanting him to win especially near the end (knew he wouldn't).

When I first heard that "pool party!" line when Sky has a breakdown and walks into the pool, I couldn't help myself from bursting into laughter because it was such a heavy scene with her breaking down emotionally and all and here comes Hank yelling out "pool party" because he doesn't know any better and wasn't aware of how serious it was is just such a funny moment for me.

Hank wasn't an evil man, he had his fair share of bad traits just like everyone else, but it was his fighting a real evil like Heisenberg that showed the good in him.
