is there a way to improve the map resolution? the more i zoom into the map the more pixelated it gets..

What you see is what you get. I recommend just sticking Bing's map, as the others are typically too blurry. Esri (not the clarity version), will sometimes be more updated than Bing's map, depending on the region you are mapping. Occasionally I will switch between the two to insure consistency.

You can slow down the playback speed of the video. In player, settings cog -> Playback speed.
