Great story. 993 is my favorite 911 as well. There's nothing like that ass. I drive a 996 and can't afford one at the moment but eventually I hope to get one. I love the RS look too. How about installing the actual silver RS wheels (or replicas)? They look amazing.
Yes, I agree the real Speedline wheels look great and would complete the RS look. I might do that one of these days when I can afford the real version. Thanks and I hope you get your 993! Paul
great video dude. i love story like this. im on a similar path and one day, i will get the chance to make a video. im sure you will make few more videos about your car. may i suggest a gopro. it captures excellent images, videos, and sounds.
Hi Bon, thanks for the nice comments and your suggestion about a gopro. Unfortunately most of my material for this video was old photos. I did buy a couple gopro cameras and used them on a video about the airplane I built and flew to New York City. I attached one to my left wing and one underneath the plane th-cam.com/video/T-ullMXPY1Q/w-d-xo.html Thanks again, Paul
Very Nice Video. I have seen your car on Rennlist and found your approach to modifying and maintaining your car inspiring when I bought my 993 in 2012. Sorry we did not meet while you lived in the bay area. Your Guards Red 993 is a lucky machine. Keep on enjoying the ride!
Thanks for the nice comments James, hope we can meet someday. I came out for RR VII at Laguna Seca last Sept, so maybe we will end up at the same event?? Take care. Paul
splendid ! your video is another great time travel back for me. You modestly left out the picture of your engine all in parts when doing service yourself, that one made my eyes pop. Greetings from the homeland of the 'Autobahn', your friend Christian
Yes, it's not perfect. The car was a little too big for my HD sound booth, so I was stuck with a cheap iphone app sitting behind the car, then I jumped in and started it up. I don't have a future in Hollywood, that's for sure!! Thanks for watching!
Great story and beautiful car. Very tastefully done. As a California resident who has considered Tennessee as a place to live, are there enough good roads to keep you satisfied? It’s hard to leave California canyons.
Hi Micah, the roads here in East TN are the best I have experienced anywhere. The Dragon, The Snake and many others are fantastic. The Appalachians have awesome roads. I have been here 5 years now and I would say that it's at least equivalent to CA. I have to be a little more careful when I take one of my motorcycles out, fantastic roads, but no shoulders or runoffs on a lot of them. Thanks for watching! Paul
