@@eastonpayne3960 the bass line isn’t exactly easy to hear over the arpeggiated keyboard and synth, but it’s there. Music is subjective, you may not like the song while many others do. You don’t have to try and understand why someone like me and other people commenting love this song, because I’m sure you love songs by Bad Suns and many other artists that maybe some other people might not be crazy about. That’s life!

Came across this band after hearing the song “Cardiac Arrest” a few weeks ago. I’m in love and I cannot believe with all the alternative artists I’ve listened to all my life that I never stumbled across this band. They should be more well known. They have an amazing sound that is not heard a lot anymore.

I came across "Salt" a few years ago, liked it, but that was it, didn't really want to listen to more of their stuff bc iirc I was in an insane heavy metal phase at the time. After switching my streaming service to spotify a while back I basically forgot about them. Then recently their song "Patience" was put into my suggestion-playlist-thingy that spotify updates every month or so and I was like "yo this is neat I wonder if they've got more bangers like this" and then I came across "Salt" again lmao. Now I'm basically listening to their stuff every day (mostly while omw to or from work)
Impossible. That's what the 80s are for. Even the few times something manages passable to even goodish these days, the past they cannot reconstruct cos all that was perfect has been done already or is continued to be, by artists of that era.

Never said the 80s was perfect-in fact it gave birth to fucking musical Aids in the vile slagdonna and the appalling S/A/W factory of death. Sting, Weller, Cure, Dexys, Madness, Spandau Ballet, Paul Young, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Lisa Stansfield voices and dumb novelty records, all of these and more were proving few things people do en masse is seamless in quality and welcome. BUT put this against every other decade where, for every half decent song (no doubt 80s inspired) by a lucky act (unlikely to they'd be able to follow it up equally well), there were thousands of utter turds, which only got even more pronounced and numerous the more we went on and then social media appeared to make a bad thing even more horrific. No, mate, my parent's playlists are way too old school for me. I have nostalgia for brains and taste, its true. Who wouldn't when we've been a in a triple cesspit-void for at least 4 decades now...and counting...
This song reminds me of the days between Dec 2020 - Jan 2021, when I met a guy who made that summer an endless one. Such a pity it all fade away so fast.
