✔️ European Reacts to Brits Visit Walmart For The First Time! - Reaction For the First Time
Just a little fund for your American treats.
Oh ty for that. Means a lot. ❤
Is that sweet puppy in your profile pic a Shiba Inu?? Or a Shiba mix of some kind?
It's a beautiful dog, I was just curious. 😂 Also, VERY sweet donation for American snacks lol!
Eat the treats!
Andre' if you like peanut butter, don't look for peanut butter oreo's and instead look for "Nutter Butter" cookies!
Or Nutter Butter wafers :)
Nutter butters are THE BEST!!
"Have another Nutter Butter peanut butter sandwich cookie!"
Oh gosh so true! These are amazing!
I agree look for those!
The pauses are great. We can watch their video all the way through on their channel, we are here for your genuine reactions. It’s fun getting excited along with you
I agree! I wanted to respond the same thing. Besides his comments also help us learn about Portugal when he talks about differences and similarities.
I couldn’t agree more, I love the pauses!
As an American, this video is just tickling me! We take everything for granted because we've always had this kind of selection. To see your reaction - and those of the Brits doing the shopping - just makes me chuckle. You are like our little kids when we take them into a big store - huge eyes and grasping hands! What a delight! You've made my day with this one!!
Walmart is a one-stop shop. Groceries, electronics, office supplies, clothing, furniture, garden supplies, toys, a bank, full pharmacy, tire shop, deli, pet supplies, hair salon... You name it, it's there
Not only that but if you have stuff on both sides you get a walk in as well😂
Don’t forget restaurant, nail salon, and car repair!
I’ve said this before you do not have to apologize for being yourself and reacting and pausing videos You are just being genuine and I love watching your reactions. Can’t wait to watch you come to America.
"Is this the most beautiful flag in the world?" HELL YES!
I'll clarify more. The original Jif creamy the one with the red lid is the absolute best one. It is even much better than the Reeses brand.
Thank you for complimenting our American flag. As a Catholic, I LOVE the Portuguese flag with the five wounds of Jesus. Long may she wave!
Five? Shouldn't it be seven? Or are the two hands considered a single wound and the two feet also a single wound, or what? (I'm an Anabaptist, so my knowledge of Roman Catholic doctrine, where it diverges from the Bible, is a bit spotty in places.)
Pauses were appreciated!
I can't wait for the day you get to step foot on American land. I know so many of us are wishing this for you. Thank you for another great reaction 😊
You’re American at heart bro! Texas welcomes you brother
25:15 that’s what the Walmart app is for. It has a map layout of where everything is and it has a price scanner
My man just walked into the Skippy Jif wars. 😂
pause as much as you want, your a great guy
Both memorial day and the Fourth of July are coming up, so all the stores are carrying red white and blue items. We celebrate both holidays with parties and barbecues and potlucks.
The secret to making room in luggage, or when packing or storing soft items clothes, blankets, etc.) is VACUUM BAGS!!!
Or, if you don’t have vacuum bags, instead of folding your clothes, roll them up. Learned that from my hubby who was in the navy.
Little Debbie and Hostess are brand names of snack cakes. Twinkies are by Hostess and are actually banned in other countries outside the U.S. Supercenters have both grocery/food and "general merchandise" such as clothing, housewares (pots and pans), pet supplies, electronics, and health and beauty. Most also have a pharmacy and vision center for eye exams and glasses
auto center in some too where you can get your oil changed and tires replaced
Do you know precisely why Hostess is banned outside the U.S.? I'm sure they have more preservatives than I can imagine, but I'm curious if anyone knows what the offending ingredient is.
I saw Twinkies in London, if that helps
@@CLKagmi23 Yellow 5, high fructose corn syrup, and hydrogenated oils. Also I think it's because they are advertised as 'cupcakes' or 'brownies', but most of those branded snacks are totally fake; I'm talking like ho-hos and cosmic brownies aren't brown because of cocoa it's likely +90% food coloring, weird grain combos and artificial flavors. There's a reason it's $2 a box, it's fast and easy junk with an alluring design. I think most of us realize that stuff isn't 'real food', but I can understand the draw to it when it's not available.
@@SZfiftyfour educational, thank you! I didn't realize so much of that was banned in Europe. Although I have heard about the bit where Subway couldn't advertise its bread as "bread" in the UK because its sugar content was too high.
There’s SO much more at Walmart they only went to a very little of it
Generally not allowed to record in Walmart, so they had to keep it to a minimum.
Most people I see only do the food. I was excited to see them go farther in on video
Love the Beesleys and your channel. Also, you pause all you want! It's amazing watching your reaction. It's funny to me to see people excited to go to Walmart. Everyone I know avoids it as much as possible.
Love from Georgia!
Greetings from Tennessee, “neighbor!” 💁🏻♀️ Definitely true about avoiding Walmart. I use the grocery pickup or delivery to avoid going inside there. 😜
I honestly don't know how these youtubers luck out sooo much when they go to Walmart. It looks like target in these videos lol. I feel EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there's some half naked dude kicking over shelves
Much love from Atlanta, GA, André! I was one of those who thought you were Russian too at first because of your accent. 🤣 For a short while, I was just waiting to hear you mention anything about back home in the motherland. I thought maybe you were a Russian living in or immigrated to Portugal and were only focusing from a Portugues perspective. 😂😂😂 Then I finally heard you mention how others also originally thought you were Russian. So funny, my friend. haha 🎉🙌
Don't worry about pausing, if you don't pause you don't get to look at the shelves. It's a shame, no one has tried my favorite orea. The fudge dipped/covered oreos!
Alright my man let's talk about it. Don't mind the people who say you pause too much, it's a reaction video. There's a reason we watch your videos. If they don't want the pauses, they can watch the original.
Andre' those popcorn items you were interested in are flavors that you sprinkle over your popcorn. They make all sorts of great flavors, movie butter, cinnamon and sugar, cheese, nacho cheese, jalapeno and cheese, bacon and cheddar, caramel, ranch, kettle corn.....the flavors are out of this world! If you are wanting to look for them yourself, they are called "Kernel Season's Popcorn Seasoning".
How do you get it to stick? Spray butter? That’s the only solution I know. A little spray butter and it sticks. Otherwise it just falls to the bottom of the bowl.
I think what amuses me even more about the culture shock here... is that you find different flavors/varieties in different parts of the country.
PETER PAN PEANUT BUTTER!! Honey roasted if you want it sweeter.🥜🥜🥜
Peter Pan honey roasted creamy is my favorite. It was the one with a yellow/orange label and lid. I’ve heard that it’s hard to do taste tests for peanut butter because of nostalgia factor, the majority of people pick the brand they had as a kid.
I like Jif way better the Skippy but everyone has a different favorite. Also, some states do not tax food groceries, some tax at a lower rate and some just regular tax them.
Twinkies are banned in some countries. They are banned because they contain Yellow 5, high fructose corn syrup, and hydrogenated oils, which are not permitted in some countries. The EU requires warning labels on artificial dyes, and Yellow 5 is banned in Finland and Norway
Jif is the best
Yeah, Yellow 5 is in a lot of products, too. It's actually listed as hazardous. It's used in Mt. Dew, sadly.
@@ErnieVickroyJif is definitely the top peanut butter brand.
I choose Jif. Here's a tip - grab a stalk of celery and use it like a spoon to scoop out some peanut butter, crunch and enjoy!
dip a perishable item that needs to be refrigerated into an entire jar of a product that is shelf stable and doesn't require refrigeration. brilliant.
@@jishani1easy. Just put peanut butter into the fridge
Jiff is the best because Skippy has too much sugar.
I'm a Texan who also loves peanut butter. Here's two very popular items I'd recommend you try: Nutter Butter Cookies and Nutty Buddy Little Debbie Snacks. The cookies come in a package, just like oreo packaging. The cookie is actually 2 peanut butter flavored cookies with whipped and sweetened peanut butter cream between them. They are baked in the shape of a peanut shell. The Nutty Buddies are several thin and crispy wafer cookies with whipped and sweetened peanut butter cream between them, and the outside of it is covered in milk chocolate. They come in individual plastic packages, and there are usually two "sticks" in each wrapper. There are usually 6 to 8 of them in the box. These are both extremely popular snacks you can find at Walmart and most gas stations across the US. When you come to America and eat at a restaurant that sells pies, ask if they have a Reeses pie. Walmart sells them in the bakery freezer, and many restaurants that bake pies make their own peanut butter and chocolate pies. There's also a Reese's brand ice cream, now that I think of it. And there is a crispy Reese's cereal bar sold at Walmart right next to the Pop Tarts and Granola Cereal Bars on the same aisle that the cereal boxes are on. Also there's a Reese's brand snack bag of pretzels. You'd probably like a snack called Muddy Buddies. The peanut butter chocolate variety of Muddy Buddies is little Chex cereal filled with creamy peanut butter, covered in milk chocolate and then covered in powdered sugar. I recommend getting a gym membership when you come here.
things in Texas are cheaper because land and houses and commercial buildings are much cheaper than in California so they don't have to mark up the prices so much
Gas too
Also Texas is cheaper due to fewer regulations and lower business tax.
I still think it is hilarious to hear people say that they do "American Party's" 😂😂
The Count, is the Sesame Street character who is a muppet version of Bela Lugosi as Dracula complete with accent. He loves to count things and every time he finishes counting there’s a peal of thunder.
Pause all you like. Your reaction is part of the charm.
To avoid getting overwhelmed, definitely either go really early in the morning or late at night.
Would you ever consider opening a PO Box to receive American gifts from Subscribers? Not sure if that's a thing in Portugal or how expensive/cheap that would be
Love the Beesleys! When are you doing your visit?
My son is just 3 months old. I was thinking next year my friend. Greetings from Portugal ❤️
@@european-reacts Andre, I have tried to send some food to foreign youtubers from Europe etc (I'm an American, live in "Silicon Valley"), but Amazon won't let you do it...I have seen people ship food but I know from watching those airport security videos that a lot of food is not supposed to get in! 🙂
I love goldfish btw, it's a type of cracker. They have pretzel flavor, cheese flavor, original etc. 🙂
@@european-reacts Wait to go to Ohio until your son is at least 127cm tall to visit there, then I can treat you to Cedar Point for a day w/ all the perks (if you give enough 'notice' ;) AND he'll be tall enough to ride any ride he wants to (I THINK, that was the largest height 'limit' last time I was there, but it has been a while).
@@european-reacts hoping you do a meet and greet so some of us can shake your hand! Love your videos!
Fact! No lies detected here.
the face you made when you saw the Reese's spread really made me chuckle 9:18
Liking everything with peanut butter is the most American thing you can do.
I’m so poor I never even look at all the options. But watching this video makes me realize there’s a lot.
No need to apologize for all of the pausing. I love that you are immersed in the amount of options we have for basically everything here in the United States 😂
Reeses peanut butter flavored stuff does NOT taste like the candy. Most are awful. The candy is great, but not the cereal, pancake mix, cake mix or many of the other things. Stick with the candy. Peanut butter flavored stuff is pretty good many times, but not Reeses flavored stuff. Most taste like preservatives.
Andrew, you don't need to apologize for pausing. Wal-mart is overwhelming. Just enjoy and ask as many questions as you want. 😊
Your box is the normal box the bigger box is usually the family box
As an American I just don't the foreigner obsession with Walmart. It's a place that a great deal of Americans try to avoid as much as possible, including myself.
The Europeans don't have the space for a Walmart, so they are amazed at the size.
@@anonygent Sure they do; not all of Europe is densely populated. Some of the Auchans and Carrefours in France are bigger than any Walmart in the United States. Those stores sometimes have up to 100 registers and have entire malls attached to the front with 20 or 30 other stores. They’re incredible; you can go there for a whole day and shop for such different things as mattresses, flat-screen TVs, milk, bread, etc... There are also some Tesco superstores that are massive as well. Not as big as a Walmart superstore but still very large.
They didn't cover no more than 20% of Walmart
I'm obsessed with videos of people that tour mobile home manufacturers here in the US; I'd love to see you react to some of those my friend.
Of course we or myself enjoying watching you trying our American foods. Love From Michigan and it's a beautiful evening ❤️
Gotta love the Beesley's!! Love your content, my friend. Love from Pennsylvania, USA.
Much love and ty 🙏
PA Chiming in here, too! Philly Side
@@seanziepoo7495 Cool! I'm in Scranton.
@Darth_Lunas Ahhh, yes. Perfect. The two cities in PA that created the 2 best Comedy shows on TV. The Office and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
Pittsburgh needs an Iconic Comedy now too.
PA here too! Western PA!
You should pause the video as much as you want 🤠 the longer the Better 👍
You dont take it on the flight you mail it to yourself the day you leave.
The first time I went into a super Wal-Mart I got lost and couldn't find the door, I was in the furniture department and sat down in a nice comfortable chair and cried for a few minutes, got my bearings and then I got the hell out of there and never went back! Some of those stores are just too big and I don't see a need for them being that big!
We are all proud of our states and each state features their own state flag along with the US flag!
André you can’t pause too much! We watch your reaction videos to see you react!😊😊
omg, your face when she spotted the Reese's peanut butter spread was great lol Love your reactions and don't worry about stopping the video because your reactions are the best
You need to set up a post office box or something where you are so that Americans can send you stuff, it's so fun to see your reactions to all of the stuff!
Andre- I have to share this with you.. I used to live on Chocolate Avenue in Hershey PA, Depending on which way the wind blew, my whole apartment smelled like chocolate. If it blew East, my apartment smelled like pReses Peanut butter cups! Only one problem... I lived above an Italian restaurant and sometimes there was a garlic smell mixed with chocolate!!!
Jif is better than Skippy and I like Skippy.
Nah - you go all natural without the sugar and only peanuts - I swear that the peanuts only peanut butter is SO MUCH better.
I like Peter Pan with honey.. lol!! So not good for you, but I love it!
Pause as often as the mood strikes - That's why I watch reaction videos! I wand to see the reaction.
Always so much focus on the groceries. Tools, tires, hardware, paint, art supplies, home furnishings, clothing, shoes, automotive, garden supplies, plants, toys, camping, fishing, hunting, ammo, sewing, pharmacy, health and beauty aids, electronics, phones, computers...
No one wants to look at reaction videos on tires, hardware, paint, etc.
They want you to get lost so you will see all the things you cannot live without and spend more money, but you can usually tell which way is to the front of the store.
and don't say sorry! love watching your reactions! Pause all you want :)
I bought very little clothes for our kids when they were younger... Aside from when they were gifted clothes, we had a friend group that recycled clothes between each other...
Same! Plus I've been blessed with family members who gift some clothes yearly.
This is such an amazing channel. Love seeing different peoples views on American stuff.
6:28 Ho-Ho's are better than Twinkies.
Snowballs FTW
@@ViolentKisses87 Booo!... Just Joking
Pausing is great. I’ve already seen the original video when it dropped so I watch your channel for your commentary. Cheers bro
My son used to love Reeses’s peanut butter. Prices at Walmart vary by location. Grocery items in my mother’s town are higher than where I live.
21:02 You wonder if anyone is like you? Realizing you like everything with peanut butter? Well Andre, YES!!!😂
I love your reactions, don't worry about the pauses.😊
If you love Reece's, try searching YT and find a recipie for Ohio Buckeye cookies. They are not baked, but you do have to melt the chocolate. They taste quite a lot like Reeces and I bet would be a lot cheaper to make rather than paying for American products.
Average American hates Walmart. I’m more of a Target fella. It’s cleaner and it started here in Minnesota where I am from. One thing Walmart does that is pretty kewl they allow travelers to park and sleep in their parking lots. Campers, over the road truckers, and the like. Other businesses do that as well but Walmart is well known for accommodating a weary traveler.
Fun fact on twinkies. The brand used to be called Dolly Madison. They then either shut down or slowed production(i was younger so dont remember it exactly). But when that happened they stopped making them. There were people who were selling boxes at hundreds of dollars a box! It was crazy! They were bought by Hostess & twinkies made a come back but that is a crazy story of them
Andre - There are all natural peanut butters that have no sugar, preservatives or bad oils. The peanut taste comes through better. Smuckers is the one I get. It has nothing in it but peanuts and a bit of salt.
I love you are taking notes 😂😂😂
If you thought that 75 inch TV was big, you should go back and passe the video as he leaves it. As he is walking, there is a sign with a price tag of around $1200 and it is setting on top of a TV more than twice the size of the 75 inch TV. I think he took around 3 or 4 steps to get to the end of it.
I would send you some Twinkies if I knew they would make it. Unfortunately, with the change in air pressure when being shipped on planes, the packaging will burst open and then the contents are exposed to all the stuff around it or it gets destroyed. I know when I take potato chips or anything in a bag with me when I drive up into the mountains, the bags will explode and sound like someone is shooting. LOL! I have learned to wait and by the chips in the mountains or open them before I get into the mountains. I love going camping up in our forests, away from everyone,! So peaceful, relaxing, and BEAUTIFUL up there.
I hope you and your family will be able to accomplish your dream of coming to the US soon and be able to do, see, and eat all the things you have dreamed of.
Hug that sweet baby boy for me. I am a great-grandma and I have lots of great-granddaughters, but only one great--grandson. May God Bless and protect you all always.
Cooking oil. It's Texas (and The South). Need oil to fry everything. For Thanksgiving, there are those who deep fry their turkeys, usually in peanut oil. Walmart sells peanut oil in gallon containers in the fall just for that.
You saying our flag is the most beautiful one is very, very sweet of you. We know it’s not true, but we’re Americans. It’s damn true to us. I think it’s the most striking flag in the world. It certainly commands a ton of either respect or vitriol. Thank you for the wonderful compliment.
Everybody's anxious for your taste test vid
One of the reasons I enjoy watching you is that you pause a lot. It is fun to hear. I can and do watch the Beasleys anytime I want to.
I like Jif extra crunchy best and a cooking show that did a blind taste test with an audience testing all of the different brands also found out they liked it best too. America is crazy about peanuts.
Twinkies are hyper sugary.
If you were to list the items that Portugal does not accept in the more.... portion of you site, then you could get a P.O.Box and people could send things. I know that many countries restrict ingredients like certain food coloring. Australia limit seeds and fresh veggies and fruit, anything that could have insects or plant diseases.
At the moment she says "SweetnLow" at 13:05 sitting on the shelf is Red Lobster cheddar biscuits. Those are so delicious.
I’m thrilled they made it out of the food and into the rest of the store.
Just so you know, that is not flavored popcorn , it is called popcorn salt. It's powered flavoring you sprinkle on top of popcorn.
After watching this I feel like Walmart is the Disneyland for adults who have never been to a superstore. I really enjoyed this and was literally laughing out loud. I hope she gets her cupcake gold fish.😊
If your going to try any American cereal than it's got to be cinnamon toast crunch. I just don't know what could be better. I do love me some peanut butter crunch though. For me those are the two top dogs
Personally, I go for Malt-O-Meal brand. You get more bang for your buck, and literally can't tell the difference in taste. 😋👍
☝️ this. (I don't eat cereal) But cinnamon toast crunch is amazing!
They seem like such a sweet family ❤
I think the Seasame Street character, I think you might be referring to, is the Count. Though I think his accent was supposed to be Ronanian.
I love watching folks react to gift boxes and stuff.
I think that Jif and Skippy are very similar, both are really good.
25:15 Andre, there are big signs hanging above certain areas. "Clothing" "garden" "electrics" "bakery" etc.
It is pretty easy to lose people in Walmart. Haha
Jif is definitely #1! I just wanted to say something. People say " so many options, I wouldn't know how to make a decision" ,. We do have a lot of options, but for the most part, we decided a long time ago what particular brand/flavor is the one we will always go to(because we've tried them all and now we know) and just reach for the one we trust. We have a lot of options because Americans have a lot of difference of opinions..
The look on your face when you realized there is Reese’s peanut butter in a jar in the world was priceless! Lol🤗
The popcorn stuff they were looking at were flavorings you put on the corn after popping. It’s delicious.❤️
I loved the GPS comment! It’s an idea thats time has come lol🤗 those Superwalmarts are a HUGE grocery plus a HUGE department store. You really could get lost in one❤️🤗🐝
The Beesleys are so cute and so fun!
If you get the chance, you would get a good laugh out of the song, "Red Solo Cup", by Toby Keith. The video is hilarious!!!
In the U.S. prices are based on the area you are in. If you are in a low income area the pricing reflex that area. I have 4 Walmart center around me and I go to the lower income area of the city because prices are much lower. Same item can have a $2 difference between stores.
Your question about California sales tax. First there is no sales tax on groceries. California state sales tax is 6%, then each county adds on a sales tax, then each city. Where I live the cumulative sales tax is 7.25%. One neighboring city is the same, another is 9.25%. So if you're buying something expensive it pays to keep that in mind.😊 Love your videos.
Watching these videos are very enjoyable at the same time it also makes me realize just how spoiled and fortunate we Americans really are many of us do not take in consideration how privileged we are can you help bring that back to light
7:55 I currently live in California and I have lived in several other states. Most California prices are higher due to higher taxes and far more government regulations than other states (wage & labor laws, environmental laws, building codes & construction laws, and many others). However, fresh food prices are generally lower or average price in California because many variety of fruits, vegetables, and animals products are grown and processed in California.
My friend... I feel you becoming more and more American with every reaction. 😂 Its going to be so much fun to see you finally get here to the States . We really do love you Andre ❤🇺🇸
The large cereal selection in America is mostly due to the competition between the Kellogg and Post companies. They continually came up with new cereals to try to get the edge in the market.
Although you should be aware every Wal-Mart is different. No Wal-Mart ever has the same selection as another one, so you could find different products in Wal-Marts that are only a 30 minute drive from one another.
Love the Beesleys, been following them for about a month now... Glad to see you do a reaction to them. And Yes, Walmart is an afternoon event, you can be there 2hrs easily, 3 if you've never been in one...
I love your videos and recommend them to Americans who need to be aware of just what a great country we live in and how fortunate we are. I am an Apache Indian and I have lived all over this country. I have been to all 50 states and lived in 10 of them. I have also been to seven foreign countries. I LOVE America!! I served as a survival instructor in the military and went to Desert Storm. I do have one thing to tell you from my experiences. I lived in Texas for a little more than 5 years (Austin) and I've been to San Antonio many times (had cousins there). I have a great replica of an Alamo pistol that I got there. I now live in Alabama, and honestly, there is as much culture and tradition here as there was there. You are always exalting Texas, but don't be mislead. I loved Texas, but there's nothing there that I miss by living here. I have lived in New Mexico (born there), Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Washington, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, and California. Alabama is the only state I decided to move back to. Not because it's the best, but because of family and friends (and it is WAY less expensive than California). Keep this in mind - ALL super Walmarts are huge. It doesn't matter what state you're in. I have one close to my house (about 5 minutes). I also have a Bass Pro Shop less than 10 minutes from my house. I can go fishing whenever I want and football games are great out here. My youngest son is at the University of Alabama, so Roll Tide! I also have a daughter who graduated from Auburn University. So, I love them both - War Eagle! I love my country and love that you love it, but Texas is just one of 50 great states. I invite you to come and visit me. I have five acres of land and plenty of room for you and your family.
Lets just say it can take 3 hours to walk threw a walmart on an "only food" store run. There are usually also these sections. Sporting goods, pharmacy, auto center, garden center, toiletries, clothing, electronics, toys/kids, seasonal goods, jewelry, shoes, and pets
