Simpson Desert - Hay River Track

This video shows some highlights from a recent trip along the Hay River Track. This trip takes about 2-3 days and is very easy 4wding. The landscape along the track varies greatly and is a completely different experience compared to the east-west Simpson Desert route. See you out there!

Thanks for the video. I'm doing that track from South to North next month with 3 friends. A 79R, 200 Series, 76 and a Patrol ute. From Jervois Station we're heading west on the Plenty Highway then south to Alice Springs. Heading to Well 33 from Alice , then down to Wiluna and back to Perth. The other guys have done a few desert trips but for me it will be my first, really looking forward to it.

If you put any faith into how some of the earlier travelers pronounce it (Jack Absolom, Len Beadell in some interviews, etc) it's gibber, with a hard G, as in Gibb River Road not jibber.
