    Another great vid....I was trying to guess and thought rear Deavers/ICONs would have been one. Didn't think about the camber/castor kit, but after running with the ROC at Mojave several weeks ago the first thing I did on the way home to see if the truck had a pull, or the steering wheel went off-center..much to my surprise felt perfect...

      The great thing about running with groups is there is less surprises on the trail so less chances of knocking out the alignment or causing damage. In a group, the lead truck takes all the risk.

    Awesome as always. Looking at pricing to raise the front, the springs you mentioned are the best way to go. They are not that much more then the collars but also improve the performance. Shocks can get very expensive and not as cost effective foe most people. Keep up the great vids brother...

    Interesting, I keep seeing comments when others do leveling saying “why would you mess up the gen 3 suspension but doing that?”
    I currently have a gen 1 and trading up for a new 2023 gen 3 and doing my research about what to upgrade.
    Will be my daily driver in Colombia where off-road is a given, but also lots of highway and tight windy mountain roads

      So most common mod on the gen3 is to raise the nose a bit for off-roading. Stock the nose is lower to get better fuel economy. But offroad it’s about an 1.5 inches too low and when the suspension hits full compressions, the front bumper hits the ground. So most raise the front end. Some do it with shock collars. Others with springs. We recommend the SDi top hat because we’ve seen too many failures offroad with spring upgrades. If you want more info, check out this video:

    Dose the front lift effect the performances by the way it drives on the highway when accelerating or performing on twisty back road driving. Did you notice a difference something and mine is a 2017.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not much no. Even if you keep the softer springs and do a collar or go with upgraded springs. Both stiffen the front end a bit so you’ll feel more of the road, but performance is still really good

      Keep It Dirty Off-Road I ended going with the eibach springs. It was a easy install and the truck is now nicely leveled now. 🙌🏼

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks you, really appreciate it. I paid $165 to have the alignment kit installed and the front end to be aligned. Took them just over an hours to perform the work. Most shops should be able to perform it within 2 hrs or less including alignment.

    • @tigerrc
      @tigerrc 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keep It Dirty Off-Road Thanks for reply !May I have the shop name or address? I ask a shop nearby my house ,they offer $275…… Thanks again!

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tigerrc if that includes the kit, it's not a bad deal. labor for mine alone was $165 plus the cost of the caster camber kit. I used precision alignment in Temecula. But any alignment shop can do it or specialized Raptor shops like SVC, RPG, Evil Manufacturing, Galpin Auto Sports, or Forged offload should be able to help you install at a more reasonable cost.

    Thanks for these educational videos but have you guys faced any problem with overheating in the Gen2 ?

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only once. Going up Cerro Gordo in the middle of summer with 105 degree weather. It was a steep climb, no wind, and I was pushing the engine hard going 60 mph+. The truck did not actually overheat, but the warning came up that I was getting close so I stopped to let it cool off a bit.

    • @saudalshuaibi4550
      @saudalshuaibi4550 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keep It Dirty Off-Road My truck has the this problem of reaching height temps of 240 once Iam hard on the pedal .My next upgrade will be a full race radiator and intercooler and I hope I get it solved.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Saud Al Shuaibi are you running an upgraded intercooler? If so, that’s most likely the cause for the overheating. They are big and when placed in front of the radiator they block too much of the airflow to the radiator. Those that run hard, and run an upgraded intercooler I have seen all need to upgrade the radiator just to compensate.

    • @saudalshuaibi4550
      @saudalshuaibi4550 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keep It Dirty Off-Road No I don’t stock radiator and intercooler. I do run a Spd state, dp’s , turbo adapters tune , Icon stage 4 kit on 35’s. There is no reason for this truck to overheat but I couldn’t figure is out till now I hope the radiator will fix it but the reviews online say the radiator will not kill the overheat problem but it will give you some extra time before it over heats. I will be placing an order today and see how it goes.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Saud Al Shuaibi yeah, then there should be no reason for the overheating. But then again there is a fine line between operating temp at 190 degrees and what the truck considers overheating at 240. A new bigger radiator will help, specially a full aluminum one that dissipates heat better. I would also take a look at your tune. Lots of bad tunes out there that cause more bad than good. What tune are you using?

    Wanna know your take on the fabtech 4 inch lift . Yay or nay ?

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want to be laughed at every raptor meet, get that lift.
      The last thing you ever want to do to a Raptor is put a lift on it. Those lift are for show only. They take away functionality. Take a small jump and it’s going to bend and fail. Shit take a curb and they can bend. Not sure why they make it and why guys keep putting them on their raptors, but it’s THE biggest poser move you can do.

    • @noemad26
      @noemad26 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KeepItDirtyOffRoad was asking for a friend lol , to be honest I about to put a deposit on a 2019 Rouch edition that already has the fox 3.0 on it . They salesman was trying to sell me in the lift . I asked him is off-road capable ? I got the , for sure it is because it has more ground clearance smh . Anyhow I saw one that fabtech made that has shock extensions if I’m correct but anyhow . Anyhow I appreciate your feedback because I know you’re about that Raptor life lol .

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the shock extensions is the weakest point. Really janky solution IMO. They will and have been known to bend on simple stuff like climbing over a curb at speed.
      Raptor was design for high speed off-roading. Put a lift kit on it and it can’t even rock crawl because the lift components make the whole suspension so weak.

      @@KeepItDirtyOffRoad Roger that and thanks again for the input . I had a gen 1 that I absolutely loved but totaled it recently in a snow storm . I was looking for another one but here in Seattle the prices are all out of wack but one night . I was out drinking with some teammates that I used to wrestle with in college. This frat kid said some racist crap to my Mexican homie , long story short the kid ended up filling a police report. Comes to find out the kids dad owns a ford dealership so I went there and told him what his son had did and it’s in social media that’s when he said . He’ll give me a deal on anything used on his lot . That’s when I saw he had a 2019 Roush Raptor that was 69k . He hooked it up for 40k flat out the door lol
