for those wondering: Fiets's zeepkist and appearance are based on an upcoming dutch holiday called "koningsdag" or "Kingsday" His cart is made to look like a tompouce, a dutch dessert made of 2 sheets of puff pastry, a huge layer of cream in between them and with a usually pink glace topping. but in April we make them orange. The orange balloon crown is also something people can be seen wearing during kingsday.
So that zamboni question interested me, and I went and looked it up. They do infact surface a bobsled track MANUALLY, there is no machine. They do it a lot like mudding drywall but with slush and water instead of mud, and it can take several hours.
Great track kAN, impressive work! If I can come with some constructive criticism of your driving. You're behind on most corners whenever the direction changes, you're either in the middle or even more to the inside of the corner before the turn comes. Especially before the first big jump, you're even getting an audio feedback (the clanging) when you jump from inner edge directly into the outer wall of the turn. Watching the Dev's playback (very nice touch!) they've placed their car for the coming corner better than you did. In other words, they've planned and are prepared to take the corners. I think the main difference between your practices and the recorded session was the stress and loss of focus towards what the others did instead of what you were doing. But you're making videos as content for your TH-cam channel, so ignoring what the others are doing isn't an option for you. Both having someone else who did the running commentary or you not participating doesn't seem like viable options either. Great video, well done track and with my sincere wish to help you. Take care and stay safe!

To add to this: Sometimes you have to be slower at some corners/parts to be faster in the others. I think he focused too much on being faster in the first section.
So . . . based on a few of your previous videos, I know you're a fan of the Hadron Collider. What about making just a downward spiral that's at super high speed that kind of emulates a centrifuge as best you can get in a soapbox car racing game? I mean you could do like a 4 leaf clover kind of design and swap turning directions, but I think having just a spiraling course similar to this that is just long and full speed would be cool.
I've spent 3 hrs on that track, finished it only 5 times. Did mean that when you claimed you'd made that last jump I knew you were traveling too slow. 145 is the minimum speed to clear to the finish.
>doesnt go too high on walls >Makes sure not to swing his back wheels out On one of these Zeepkist videos you made a backwards track and mentioned that the physics engine tries to auto straighten the cars by adding drag to the back wheels, so swinging the back out probably lowers the speed (rather than drifting mechanics being a thing)
they do the ice by hand with shovels and a hose of water the track and conrete itself is cooling the ice but they have to scrape it off by hand to make it smooth so yeah all by hand every night in the winter :D
Coming from a game like Trackmania, I’d say that a 2:01.2 is the upper limit of the fastest time on this track. But then again, even the dev’s 01.6 wasn’t perfect, he lost a lot of speed, so maybe 2 mins or a sub 2 IS possible.
Well last time I replied to a video trying to explain how to pronounce "zeep", then found out minutes later I replied to an old video and you pronounced it correctly in later videos. At least this time I can maybe be of assistance. "Fiets" sounds more like "Feets" in Dutch pronunciation :)
watch the reply a few times, on that first run, try and follow the dev's car... hes not going faster than the car in front of him but somehow jumps way higher and further.
Cool you got to try out the track with freands and strangers! I understand a bit what you went through when making the track. I never played this game before, but I played Hot Wheels Unleashed for some months. You can create tracks like in Trackmania and this game. Only problem you have to get 5 likes on the track for it to come in a multiplayer lobby. And it is random when it will show up. And you also vote between 5 tracks each race. Its a shame because I used 3 days on a track similar to this. But much easier. So ye. I got 0 likes. Then an other day I used 10 min. to make an other track and it got 7 likes. Anyway its cool to see this game has the right solution for this. Looks like you can make your own lobbies. In Hot Wheels Unleashed you can only join random lobbies. So that might be the problem. But I still had a lot of fun with that game.
het zou wel leuk zijn als je misschien die blokken kunt stellen in hoogte en breedte. en denk dat het ook wel helpt met lag als mensen nog grotere dingen gaan maken :) would be a nice idea if you could manipulate the blocks to make them taller and bigger to create a larger platform, in the long run, if people make bigger stuff it will also help with the lag.
I think he's waiting on the next big update that's coming soon. He mentioned in one of his latest videos that he thinks the update is going to delete everyone's world/tracks. So if that's the case he probably doesn't want to put more work into something until later since it might all be for nothing.
Highly enjoyable race and track. Thanks for sharing the game with your audience and I'll be looking forward to racing all of you again :)
you are a Zeepkist pro
i knows you are an youtuber... and wow! oh ma gad!
I really like that kAN doesn’t do things only half. Whenever he builds something he does it properly and gives it some polish.
the good youtuber is the one who doesnt "alright I think thats for part 2 thanks for watching" **nevers upload the second one**
@@DaniSC_l1 can you even call them a youtuber at that point
@@DaniSC_l1 kinda wish scrapman was here. Hes the most entertaining of the group in my opinion.

Yeah I saw the DLC pack with those two included in on the steam page haha they actually look neat, despite me not being dutch
This was so fun to take part in! (I was small nas x) hope more of these come soon!
The dev using the side before the jump as a guide rail was genius
18:32 The devs just says "gg ez" in chat, lol
So that zamboni question interested me, and I went and looked it up.

Good to know, thanks
13:15 Here in Germany it's done by hand every night before it's been used.
This is by far the coolest track I've played in zeepkist so far. I play this over and over again
You know this is an old video when HE is 'The dev' and Rubbish is 'someone' :D
And kAN doesn't arms up the jumps sometimes
As another Dutch. I gotta say how accurate and "Dutch" the Dev's car was. I love it.
Een tompoes vol met vlaggen, heerlijk :')
man that dev time was smooooth, you gotta watch that a few times and learn the techniques used Kan
"It may not look like much"...
...bro... it looks insane
It was a pleasure practicing with you guys! Very hard level, very fun too!
Great track kAN, impressive work!

Yes, his planning of his racing line wasn't good at some parts of his runs.
He's getting better in later videos, but he still has a bit to go.
So . . . based on a few of your previous videos, I know you're a fan of the Hadron Collider. and wow what a very nice track, I can really see the dedication you put into it. :)

11:55 Warcans, The Dev, and The track's creator. oh man like these three, of course, but will anyone else? Lots of jumpcuts this is long though.
i was Gideon_, can confirm very fun
17:58 What sorcery is this? 80% of my runs fail on the right turn after this tunnel. No idea how Fiets38 maintains such a clean line.
Beautiful track! nicely done
>doesnt go too high on walls

its so cool to see a game developer play a custom map in his own game.
I was in this room a while later - I was Woody. I had a great time! Thanks for all you do, kAN! 😄
so the strat is to treat it like a wall ride, have a smooth transition from mid to low to mid when hitting those corners, but that's just what I think
Absolutely love the Zeepkist videos!
Your track, his game. 😁
they do the ice by hand with shovels and a hose of water
the track and conrete itself is cooling the ice but they have to scrape it off by hand to make it smooth
so yeah all by hand

A 2:02 was the fastest thought to be possible on this track, but then Fiets got this run...
Coming from a game like Trackmania, I’d say that a 2:01.2 is the upper limit of the fastest time on this track. But then again, even the dev’s 01.6 wasn’t perfect, he lost a lot of speed, so maybe 2 mins or a sub 2 IS possible.
The physics are apparently also a little bit random so sub 2 might be possible with better rng maybe?
If you go to extras in the main menu you can click to hear how zeepkist is pronounced
Every slope on tracks are different.
They're done by hand.
Several men with brooms have to walk the track.
18:09 Even here right before the end he was in yellow. How did he make up that much time on just the final straight?
I think the yellow was comparing to kan's time.
I’m starting to suspect that the devs might be Dutch
Great track!
im origanaly dutch and kAN prenounces zeepkist almost perfectly
Well last time I replied to a video trying to explain how to pronounce "zeep", then found out minutes later I replied to an old video and you pronounced it correctly in later videos. At least this time I can maybe be of assistance. "Fiets" sounds more like "Feets" in Dutch pronunciation :)
great track great video
Okay, that is a really cool map.
Slag_uh_tor lol. This was awesome kan.
OMG, yesss more zeepkist
4:12 Who is he on voicechat with? I have a hard time recognizing voice(s)...
They should really allow you to stretch out certain objects, you shouldn't have to duplicate so many pieces for one structure.
oranje tompous mobiel!
Great video! Nice!
This Guy has an obsession on Zamboni's
I love that track kAN. I’ve played it a lot already.
This game is so addicting
Lop. That was awesome

You should do track mania 2020
Just played this left, back after my first run...Extremely fun
20 hours later...still haven't beaten it
2 Weeks later...Finally beat it...KAN YOU MONSTER!!!
Where is all the railroads online
Nice.
U talking to kosmo or dapper? Or someone else, also don’t worry about the pressure, just play, you could get so much faster
so when i watched the dev replay part I played the song gas gas gas and it fit really well
You’re the best
Gonk! :]
het zou wel leuk zijn als je misschien die blokken kunt stellen in hoogte en breedte. en denk dat het ook wel helpt met lag als mensen nog grotere dingen gaan maken :)

I like this
I love to make tracks on trackmania, and I usally put like 10 hours on a 45 second track.
Whats up guys my name is kan and welcomd back to...
Yes. Just yes.
Bro nice video
Nice
That giant jump up to the slope is so hard to make up the tube
can you do a video were you play fan tracks?
Bobkist
Based on what I found. They do clean/prep the track by hand.
Or track mania nations forever
0:59 Or a "Cool Runnings" if you will?
You should play this map with dapper and kosmo
He was practicing, lol must have
The Cresta Run be like
Is midngiht bobsled on the workshop?
I'm leaning about Canada in school.
What happened to Railroads Online? I really enjoyed that series
I think he's waiting on the next big update that's coming soon. He mentioned in one of his latest videos that he thinks the update is going to delete everyone's world/tracks. this is literally trackmania
I can't believe kAN didn't reset when he had a 1 second yellow with about 2 1/2 minutes left.
Damn son talk about creative mode
Bobsled tracks are frozen into shape, or at least that's what they said in "Cool Running"
What about a track with a bunch of flips like on GTA 5? How that sounds?
it takes about 30 hours to clean a olimpic bobsled track
So for bobsled and luge they actually do it by hand.
Seems to me that minimizing airtime gives better times on track, because landing loses some speed.
But then fiets38 got this run:
*En Aften Ved Svanefossen intensifies*
Yannics car in this one is a tompouce wich in dutch is a tompoes
did you knows that warcans is a youtuber? yeah! he have many subs!
the dev has a cheat code
I don't think Kan understands Split times lol
Hey kan if you like this game I think you would like track mania nations forever
How do we know when you’ll be doing this???
and is this in the workshop?
don't rely too much to no-hand, when i see dev movement at first tunnel, he just controling his cars as stable as possible
Why did I read this as “boosled run”
Next time I will try to get in the lobby
btw you dont clean a bobsled track pretty sure they just ad layers of ice to it =) well after leveling
Trickle water down it?
Why doesn't Scrap Man join you in this?
pineapple
