Hey! This is the version I played! I might've missed some but I haven't seen any playthrough of the talkie version with the right music. Have it on CD (less fortunate is how the sound at the forge lags the game because it needs to load from the disc). Finally got to relive the existential dread I felt as a kid when I played this game for the first time :')
If Telltale does decide to do a remaster and create the long awaited sequels, they better stay true to the vision BM had wanted. I really want to know, how they turned out.
Hi! In the dragon cavern, the spell to turn the gold into straw doesnt work. May it be possible that I didnt "learn" it before? I cant leave the cavern, so I can do nothing. Please, help!
Spells are randomised every game, so the notes I play here may not reflect the notes needed in your save. Unlike other LucasArts games, it is possible to get stuck if you didn't find and make a note of all the spells in one area before moving on. However, there are only so many possibilities for each spell, so you can always try them all: ECCC, EDDD, EDED, CDED
Whoa whoa whoa...what version of this game is this? I've never seen it! The version I played had much simpler graphics and no voice? Where can I get this?

"Gold to straw" must be the most useful spell ever to exist.
Gold to straw is, without a doubt, my favourite spell in LOOM.

This is the VGA talkie version. You can buy it from GOG www.gog.com/game/loom
It's free on the Internet Archive, but you do have to make sure it's the VGA version.

I loved this game when I was a child. But I was waiting for a sequel. There wasn't any sequel, was there?
No sequel. Bit of a shame because the story feels very incomplete.
