Genya Arikado a game kind of like this one is Detective Gallo. Gallo is what got me to look at click and point games from the past, and Sam reminds me of him quite a bit. I recommend detective Gallo.
I played the game with a german translation from Boris Schneider-Johne back in Decemebr 1993! :) This and Day Of The Tentacle (and Rebel Aussault, DOOM, Indy Car Racing and Strike Commander) were my first games for my brandnew DX2/66 from Vobis after I jumped from my Amiga 500.
Wish they would also give this one the remaster treatment. We got the first two Monkey Islands, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle already... Miss the humor in these games..
I believe it's tied up in rights issues. Steve Purcell owns Sam & Max and Disney own the game. It would be quite a hassle for someone like Double Fine to get permission. :( Still, we can dream!
You know what I never really noticed. In the starting credits it says "The LucasArts Consortium in association with Illuminati Local #421" I'm not saying that the Illuminati have anything to do with this game, but I don't understand what that's a reference to and google hasn't been of much help. Is it like a dev studio or an inside joke or what?

nothing but this is sam and max for me....the new tell tale ones were crap...
the tv wasnt bad but this is the best
