  • It's been really fun living in Spokane, Washington, but our time here has ended, and now it's on to another region with new localities to visit and new rocks and minerals to find!
    Thanks for watching and stay tuned for future adventures!

    Thank you for all you have shared over the years. Living in Spokane myself I found your videos to be one of the most valuable sources for information and ideas of places to go. The Red Top one being the first video I saw, I was able to use that info to take family there and thus sparked interest in rockhounding in my niece and nephew. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for sharing your knowledge!

    Packing up as a rockhound 😅, best of luck, when I retire, we too will be leaving this state. Sad because I was born in Spokane. I have loved this state for most of my life, but the current social climate, has made me lose my love. Then you top it off with the cost of living here… and you start to realize. It’s not all what it once was. Being a veteran, I have traveled all over and I have my eye on a few nice spots. Best of luck, and safe travels!

    I rented a boat at Blue Lake and rowed across the lake and climbed up the talus slope. Then walked a narrow ledge to the Rhino cast.

    At about 20:00, you mentioned e-bikes. Casey Ladelle, a you tuber from Bend Oregon, got a Rattan e-bike free from the company for showing it on a video. I was in the market, and ended up buying one, the Pathfinder model, a bit more than a year ago. The company replaced a defective hub motor insert, basically the guts of the motor, under warranty, and threw in a new brake disc just in case the old one was damaged. (It wasn't) They are very pleasant to work with, and I'm back on the road.
    As you tubers, they might offer you a similar deal on a pair of bikes, and you two would probably get a great deal of use out of the bikes.
    My bike will go 30 MPH and has a (realistic) 35 mile range on a full charge. It's great on hills, too.
    May life treat you well.

    The first time my daughter and I ever went rockhounding was because of your videos. We followed your advice for little Naches since it was close to home. We were so new we were digging and never even knew what we were looking for. lol We had to ask two guys digging near us "Is this what we are looking for"? Thanks to you starting us off we managed a family road trip through Oregon, Idaho and eventually to Utah. And more recently I sent the wife and daughter back to Thailand to visit family and get more rocks. I stayed behind due to work, school and a successfully concluded trip to the Red Oct 2 fire opal mine. And a detour to White Fir for thunder eggs thanks to you two. Thanks for the inspiration, education and the accurate coords. My personal hunch is your gonna end up in Utah. Let's see if we are right?

    All these comments make it sound like you are leaving TH-cam. I sincerely doubt and hope against that being the case. I look forward to seeing your adventures in your new location.
    If you want to go somewhere with limited rockhounding locations, try the Midwest. Specifically Iowa. We have a geode bed and some Galena but not much else unless you like sporadic deposits of "earth tone" chert among limestone.

    • @CurrentlyRockhounding
      @CurrentlyRockhounding  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is not the case at all, we will be making videos forever here unless TH-cam goes away, but then it will be on whatever replaces it. I'm not sure why people think we're leaving the platform or giving up on making videos, I never said that in this video.

Thank you for all the wonderful work up there and I hope your next bunch of adventures will bring more maps!
