I think they've been talking about how the next digimon story game, featuring the Olympus 12, has been on the list almost as long as Digimon Survive has been in production? I'm pretty sure you can just Google "Digimon Story game Olympos 12" and you'll find at the bare minimum confirmation that it's been in the works, but until recently the Digimon game Dev team were only given the funding and resources by Bandai to work on only one game at a time, and while Digimon Survive was in development hell it pushed back the next Digimon Story Game.

The first is a good game but a massive grind for different evolutions. Next Order was a breath of fresh air in that department, and later in the game, you can 100% control what your partners turn into. It's on Switch with a run function, but if you think you can live without that, it's pretty cheap to get on PS4 since it's been out for a number of years for it.
True! those are good features, but overall the original is still superior in my opinion. I would love the original with the option to later change your evolutions that would be cool for sure. The original also had built in optional cheats to help with the grinding.@@MrDraycanakatheotherbrit
I deff think the idea of an mmo fits the genre a lot better, great character customization, easy party system, raids, dungeons, character levels, gear score... all the things that make an mom great. You're already in the best platform to launch a game on, PC, so take to the max in that aspect. Its like Pokemon where everyone wishes there was an online version of the Pokemon world where you can explore the OG towns, etc... but with friends.
And best of all, it will become an inevitable P2W nightmare with ridiculously overpriced microtransactions in order to get anywhere (even if it means simply getting Digimon you enjoy playing with).
Nah thats not how digimon works. The digimon aren't starter pokemon it's destiny or fate for which digimon ends up being your partner. Even if you end up with a digimon that's not your favourite, things could happen and your opinions of that can change and instead of caring about what they are, you bond with them for who they are, from your adventures and experiences together. I think this kind of friendship is a lot deeper and cooler than picking your starter which is way over done now

But every baby stage Digimon that comes out of a digi egg is a baby type level which when digivolves turns into 1-4 baby 2 type Digimon even when it gets to rookie it has a chance to turn into numerous as well. I think their are 39 types of baby type that eventually turn into a Digimon we know so I wish we get to pick the egg type cause even the eggs have a so called crest type like a courage egg or love egg.
Being able to play as Taichi is a given, considering he's the main character. Being able to play as Mimi over the the characters is a welcomed surprise. I will say though, I wish Greymon and Togemon were bigger. Seeing them just barely being taller than their partners is offputting.
Looks decent. Not sure if it's a buy yet. It's got great ideas and visually looks impressive. But there are a list of things I would like to see implemented with this. I remember playing Digimon World 2 on Playstation. That game was so fucking fun at the time.

Would be tempting to give it a spin again if my account hadn't been banned for simply upgrading to a new PC and logging in on the new one.

Theres another game called digimon super rumble. A youtuber called MODGAMINYT has done videos of that game and its way more free to play friendly than dmo which is what this game is a remaster of. It's up to you which one you want to play

They made a new digimon world this year, "Digimon world: Next order" It's exactly like the first game but you get 2 digimon and can dna digivolve them. Also the main character from Digimon World returns as well as the main villian.

They only have some maps done and all of them are npcless, also, those are low lvl locations (silver lake) comparing to the actual state of the game (basically non relevant maps at thi point) and only two tamers and two digis with one evo. I mean, they could show us a susano normal model and that would be much better, but no, it's just gameplay of the screenshots they post it few months ago... And it really smells like a new server, looking for a reset just like when omegamon server was realized
seems like they have no intent to bring over Super Rumble, and are instead keen to port over the maps to this new version of DMO. Very curious as to the depth this is planned. Using the better models made for the consoles is nice and I'm glad they were given the assets for use.
Well super rumble is no longer region locked and you don't need a Korean phone number to sign up anymore. There still isn't an actual English site though, so you still need to translate it.
i really wish this could come to consoles like Xbox one S i played the og years ago and never made it far into the game as i had to use the keyboard on my laptop & I'm used to using a controller i can use a mouse just fine but gameplay with the keyboard is a massive pain in my rear.

well theres a new digimon mmo thats more free to play than dmo and its out rn if you would like to check it out. its in korean so if you need a translation you can check out a youtuber called MODGAMINYT who has done english videos, translations and guides for it. you can judge for yourself to see how free to play it is
Reminds me of Digimon World 1, except its the Digimon taking lead instead of the Tamer. Digimon Data Squad was the last good Digimon game I played, but I hope elements of Digimon World are in this one. Guess we will see.
I'm wondering if they're only going to use characters from the original Adventure anime only or will eventually expand to include characters from the other animes, because let's not forget that the original Masters game started out only using the characters from Data Squad and then later added characters from Adventure.

excited, the current Digimon Masters online is too much of a hassle to play now with so many events missed and hard to catch up on. (Last played during Fanglongmon Shin release). Also the graphics are very outdated. The Remaster will hopefully rekindle some love. Digimon RPG's return is still fun to do and with their regular updates is great, just need some more.

It's region blocks on the standalone version too, but you can (or at least could a few months ago) get around that with VPN set to for an example USA.

but now it has more micro transactions than DMO and RPG combined avoid at all costs
