    Very nice to have your own private beach 😍 Skylar would be happy to know he can wear his flip flops on the Lighthouse trail 😆
    Glad Alan was rewarded with a beer for going on all those trails!

    Yet again you seem to have managed to find a beautiful spot to set up camp for a while! I'm always falling in love when I see that you're beside the water, I would love to listen to the distant little beats against the shoreline as you drift off to sleep! Amazing as always!

    This place looks nice. The camping sites and lake look very nice. That lake seems to go on forever. Main beach looks like a great place to chill. This place would be great for a chilled weekend getaway.

    Great review and tips. We visited this park last year and really enjoyed it. We were in Lighthouse B as well. Lighthouse B is farther away from the main attractions, but that didn’t bother us although those who are beach goers might. Unfortunately, we weren't able to visit the "tree" or do the sunset rock because parking spaces were were scarce and it was really crowded. Luckily, were were able to book 1420 for this summer and are really looking forward to having our own little beach and a place to launch our canoe from. Keep up with the great reviews!

      Thanks for watching! The tree wasn't as impressive as anticipated - still neat to see but it was just a big crowded area. We couldn't get near at sunset either. That's an incredible site, enjoy the beach and I hope the falling acorns don't get you!! 🤣

    Thanks for sharing that the trail may not be good for all people. It sounds like a trail I may have to pass. Very interesting and pretty cool that electric vehicle charging stations are available at the campground. That beach looks pretty nice!

    I love that you guys go to the local breweries too. I’m planning day trips to several parks including this one in a week or so and I’m going to local breweries for dinner.

    • @TheAverageTourist

    I would not recommend Killbear if you have a dog. The only beaches that allow dogs are far enough that you would need to drive to them. The off leash beach is very small, and really only suitable for dogs. Very hard to manage a family with a dog. Not the park for you unless you want to leave the pooch chained up/crated while you play at the beach.

    • @TheAverageTourist
      @TheAverageTourist  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Good info! We are dog free, so things we may not really see in the moment. The dog beach was rather small, but if you can snag a waterfront site with easy access you and your furry friend could have a grand old time and not even leave the site! We were on 1420 and it was fabulous.

    • @TheAverageTourist
      @TheAverageTourist  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's 1420! Great site. The ones beside it also had good water access (1419) but I think 1422 had a private beach too.
