We played this to my mother as she lay dying in hospital yesterday. We are so grateful that this beautiful rendition of the Navajo prayer was one of the last things she heard before she died.
I know you left this comment a couple years ago. Thank you for sharing. I lost my mother last year and also played her favorite music for her as she passed. I'm so glad that in the story of lives as people our shared appreciation for beauty, music... carries forward, lends its helping hand even in the most painful of moments.
@@BloomingRecklessly I also sang this and played it to my Grandma. I'm 20 now but she died from bleeding through the brain while dealing with AML cancer for three years. The third round of AML was the last, the bleeding killed her before the Cancer did. My Grandma died December 29th 230 pm CST 2021. This song helped soothe her to sleep without being in pain, thank you for this wonderful beautiful song please keep making more!
I’m so deeply sorry for your recent loss. Thank you for leaving this comment. We all live too briefly, but through the love we feel for one another as human beings that brevity is so beautiful and so worthwhile. We walk in beauty. Prayers for you and your family.
With my female choir we sang it immediately after the wedding of a chorister; the bride sang once to her husband and then we followed in two voices .... precious and unforgettable!
Have just learned a beautiful dance to this song. The dance made of Bruder Georg - kind of sacred dances!! I can really recommend to dance to this. Like forming a prayer with your body and gestures.
Thanks for posting this! I will be there too - the "Big Sing" put on by the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival. We're to be there 12:30 TO 2:30 - I'm not sure when the singing starts. I hope we sound just like this.
This is a Navajo chant song. It should be sung EVERYWHERE regardless of religion.
