    Thought of you all yesterday as we prepared and ate salmon for dinner. Wayne planks it on the grill! So good.
    Love that apron! Your garden looks great. The wilted salad is a favorite of mine.
    Due to the very hot and humid conditions here in the upper Ohio Valley, it is a beef roast in the crock pot kinda day!
    The water looked cold where you were fishing!!

    Hi guys! I live on the Oregon coast salmon season is just heating up here. My husband caught his first 2 of hopefully many. We have a lot of state limitations for salmon fishing here in Oregon on the Umpqua river. Fishing here the seals will grab your salmon right off the line when you get it to the boat. Yes, we also freeze our fish before packing for the freezer it seals so much better.

      It’s the law in Alaska you have to identify that they were dip net by clipping tails

      Aaron and I meet 20 plus years ago now in Littleton and settled most of the time in Kiowa. His family is in Wyoming and mine in Colorado still it’s still home to us

      Oh Duluth same as my garden apron and that one in the video zips on the sides and I can use it to harvest and collect eggs!

      Yeah I just get them from the Duluth store. Both the apron and overalls. They have many options so stretchy and comfy to wear.

      Yes it’s very restrictive. And only open after a number of fish have made it through to breed, lots of other factors!

    Hi Jessica. Are there certain restrictions on net dipping? Can a non Alaskan get a temporary permit? Never knew that about the otters and other water habitants chomping at the salmon making not good for us to eat. You have tons of healthy plants. Where do you buy lady bugs? Thanks for sharing. I’m learning some stuff I never knew.

      Non Alaska residents Cannot ever dip net. Not even with a permit and we had to live here a full year before we could dip net.
      I got the bugs from a store in Anchorage. Like a nursery

    Hi what kind of fish are you catching? I know nothing about fish? Is there a limit to how many you are allowed to catch?

      Great questions, there’s are Salmon, the ones we caught this day go by 2 names, sockeye or in the store you might see red salmon. Limit is high for this area and type of salmon, 25 for head of household and 10 for each member. We could have gotten 20 more but it’s a 12 hour wait between tides that’s why so many camp

      Yes they did! I didn’t buy anything this year other thank some flowers for the shed, and we got a couple jalapeño at Costco to try out. Other than that all my seed starts!

      Hello Ron, I can tell you to head down the KGB, but not sure where from there it is so at the light near mail in Wasilla that the Knik Goose Bay, and that takes you to point Mac but not much out there but one road toward the rivers and it dead ends at an airstrip, so it shouldn’t be to hard to find
