  • Philippines - Terror Trail (2003) - The Philippines have become a haven for terrorists, enabling illegal organisations to recruit and train members.

    A Jema’ah Islamiyah operative addresses the camera. “We are here in the Philippines to unite armed Muslim fighters,” he proclaims. “Our intention is to establish an Islamic nation in South-East Asia.” He is one of at least 3,000 terrorists from different groups who have made their base on the Philippine island of Sulu. Attracted by the lax border controls and corrupt officials, they are establishing training camps across the country. On the nearby island of Mindanao, foreign fighters come from all over to be instructed at Camp Abu Bakar. Some of the Bali bombers are alleged to have trained here, although the camp’s commander denounces their actions. “Camp Abu Bakar is the veritable training ground for regional terrorism,” states National Defence Secretary Angelo Reyes. His job is made all the more difficult by the endemic corruption in the army and police force

    I'm a tausug speaker, i have nothing against this reporter or report but i noticed that he heavily distorted the Abu Sayyaf's statement. The subtitles didn't match with the leader's statement at all. Why is that? 🤔

    it is normal for a Filipino Datu in Mindanao (mid 1500s) to have at least 5000 men in the navy, that is why that region is not fully Christianized by the Spain or America

    It’s easy to brand revolutionaries as terrorist….the struggle of the Muslims in Mindanao has legitimate reason……Mindanao has long been a Muslim stronghold, even Spain wasn’t able to Christianized the area because of Muslim resistance. Check your history before you label everyone as terrorist. 🤨

      And pray tell us, who supports Indonesian and Malaysian terror groups? Certainly it's not their government as JI is being actively hunted and summarily executed for decades now by Indonesian and Malaysian authorities, to the point they can't operate at all there. But they flourish in southern Philippines and are used as proverbial ATM machines by local Muslim politicians and political clans, in cahoots with AFP and PNP high officials of course.

    Why are you putting up these old videos of others, can't you produce a documentary of your own?

    • @vidgood8682
      @vidgood8682 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      were they already published? if this video was already published and is contained in an archive and this page is just reposting it as their own, then that's a problem. but if you're just bitter cause you dont like to see some bad sides of history then that's not a valid reason lol.

      speaking of which, the first documentary they made about the terror trail you could find it that they posted from 15 years ago... are you saying that this page 'Journeyman Pictures' which is also a verified page, a fake? 🤣🤣

    • @vidgood8682
      @vidgood8682 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      and why are there 6 people that think this verified channel didn't produce this documentary? Probably 7 including the OP. LOL i wish they could see me face palming 🤣🤣. Funny thing is that they have licenses that you could purchase so you could use their videos.

    So they are Indonesia and Malaysia so they are the one invading the Philippine Island of Mindanao.

    • @kumarj4693
      @kumarj4693 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lol
      They are actually running away from Indonesia and Malaysia, as they are being hunted and killed there, unlike in Mindanao where they are treated as honoured guests, minor stars even, till a good enough amount is offered up for bounty on their heads. There is no ideology in Philippines dude. Pera Pera lahat.
