    I love that you give both Imperial and Metric measurements. So much easier than me trying to convert. I'll be making these hopefully when I get back home.

    • @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts
      @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I live in Canada but I’m still more comfortable with imperial so that’s what I use but I have subscribers that use both so I try and put both in all the time. More work for me but easier as you say for the viewer.
      Have fun making the garland soon and thanks for watching!

    What kind of string would you recommend to be used as a prayer bead garland? Since the beads will be manipulated they have to be even more secured.
    Thank you in advance!

      Thin fishing line would be the strongest but then you will have to tie your tassels on if you are using them.

    I thought you were going to show is how to make beads... out of flour, or something... I guess because I've had them... lol. Good video on painting wooden beads. We need this too. I see a navy blue with a white zig zag, and dots... or something. Do you know how to work with polymer clay? That would be fun to see. Great video. Thanks for showing us.

    • @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts
      @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your fun comment. The blue, zig zag strips and dots sounds great! Nope, no flour in this video. Lol. I do have a video published on how to make paper beads thoughts. Polymer is fun to work with for sure. We shall see what I come up with in the future. So many fun things to do. Thanks for watching!

    What if I don't have a needle? Is there something else one might use for that part?

    • @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts
      @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts  ปีที่แล้ว

      A needle is the best to use for sure. But you could try and tape the yarn or string to the end of a thin kitchen skewer, a toothpick or a piece of wire to make a needle to thread with.

  • @qwyitbadgurl
    @qwyitbadgurl 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Help!, I love the detail. But struggling with the paint. I’ve thinned it and also used straight from the tube. Always streaky and unprofessional looking. Any suggestions?

    • @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts
      @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It sounds like it is too thick. You can thin with a little bit of water. Use a softer bristle brush rather than a stiff one. Keep brushing your strokes till they look smoother.

      The string on top is used to pull up the knot under the wraps so it is hidden.

    I've watched your video a couple of times, and I have a question. You used a large needle to put the jute up into the beads to hide extra jute. What kind of needle are you using? The beads I am making are with the thicker jute and I can't get it threaded. Thanks for your help!! Love your videos!!

    I have a question.. I used the chalk paint to have the beads have the chalk like feel.. will putting the Americana soft touch varnish still give it the chalky “feel”?

    • @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts
      @CraftyPattiArtsCrafts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I used the chalk paint and the ultra matte varnish and they still had the chalky feel and not a smooth varnish feel.
