Some tips from someone who used to play the old games a lot: - this beeping sound you hear is just a warning when you're near an anomaly. The quicker the beeps, the closer you are to danger. It does not indicate that an artifact is there - might as well be nothing. Presence of an artifact is only indicated by the detector. If this is anything like the old games, then in order to even see and collect rarer and better artifacts you've got to have a better detector than the entry level one. Some artifacts can only be found with top-level detectors. If you use a low-grade one, the artifact won't appear nor will be indicated by the detector - as if it wasn't there at all. - as for the economy, it's always worked so that repairing and selling guns is not profitable. You only invest in the ones that you wanna keep for yourself. The rest, especially if in poor condition, is not even looting-worthy. Don't pick them up because they just hog your inventory and weigh you down. But understandably in the beginning you do tend to loot everything mindlessly, been there myself many times lol. Not a good strategy though. Unless maybe if it's a rare gun you want to use later. Honestly, the better solution for quick money has usually been to sell any excess ammo you've hoarded. Some types of ammo are worth more than others. After some time you will stick to a certain weapon more, AK-family or NATO guns, then you can sell the ammo for the weapons you don't use regularly. I don't know if they kept it in Stalker 2 but in the old Stalkers you could unload the guns in your inventory after looting. This way you can get just the ammo and then throw the almost broken gun away. EDIT: Yeah I can see that here you can unload guns without even picking them up, which is neat. Nice to have such an option. - if you've got a shitton of essential supplies like medkits, food, vodka, either stash or sell some of them. Doesn't make sense to roam around with 50+ medkits and 30 vodka bottles. It's all weight. One vodka is around 0,5 kilo probably, energy drink is 0,3 kilo. Add it all up and you end up with 10, 20, maybe even 30 kilos of stuff you will not use. That's like half the weight limit already. This is gonna bite you in the ass whenever you find something heavy you wanna take, like a new suit or a big gun/RPG. Basically inventory and weight management is crucial long-term. You need to pay attention to it, else you will die a lot of stupid, preventable deaths because one day a bloodsucker is gonna jump you and you will not be able to run away. - EDIT: I'd strongly advise against using the freaking broken guns you find, which you seem to prefer for some reason. The gun is gonna jam on you in the worst possible situation. I swear this is always the case. Also the accuracy gets diminished as the gun deteriorates. Always better to stick to mint or above 75% condition weapons. Again, unless you wanna die a lot. Seems like they kept the unforgiving nature of the old games, which I find great. Breath of fresh air in the modern industry, where games tend to hold your hand and babysit you all the time. Thus it's got quite a steep learning curve. Figuring some things out took time for me back in the day. Very first playthroughs I did were all on cheats lol. It was hard anyway, cheats or not. Then I played without, on hardened, on master, then played some Misery mod. Things were rough but that was the point. Kind of like Dark Souls of the FPS genre. I encourage you to keep playing, be it for content or for yourself, cause this game is just one of those that keep on giving the longer you play. I would gladly play it myself if I had the time and a PC to even run it :) Much love
I have a few questions if you don't mind answering. I am new to stalker and this would be my first one and I've been very excited for this game. Do you know if it has a hunger and hydration system? Where you have to make sure your dude is fed and hydrated like basic survival simulation games? Also, is the difficulty pretty good or when I play this should I put it on the hardest difficulty possible? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you! Very excited to dive into this
not true with the beeping. In this new stalker there are two different sounding beeps. One for when you are close to an artifact and one for when you are close to an anomaly. I thought I would have to pull out my detector to find the artifacts but I didn't. You can hear the beeps just wearing it. They are distinctly different sounding. I would recommend pulling out the detector anyway just to be safe since the sounds aren't that different that way you can see the light flashing and know for sure you aren't just stepping up to an anomaly to obliterate you, lmao
@@ponchbellywarpig4048 it has a hunger system but NOTHING compared to the older games. Finding enough food throughout your playthru is simple so it is never an issue. I have been playing on Stalker difficulty and it is tough. It is the medium/recommended difficulty. I have seen some people play on the harder mode and they struggle. A lot of deaths. But even on the harder difficulty, hydration or food isn't an issue. It's primarily ammo and radiation you have to worry about.
@ Worked the same in some mods. It’s still just the detector. The thing is, even with the detector unequipped or not present in the inventory at all, the beeps for danger will sound. I saw that Hollow thinks that every time he hears the “danger” beep he’s near an artifact which isn’t true. What I wrote initially is true nonetheless. You basically wrote it’s not true only to confirm it later in your own comment.
For probably 8-10 years now, whenever there is a big new release of a video game i come straight to hollow to see gameplay, A really underrated tuber who has a faithful fanbase 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Definitely the best video game walkthrough channel, I only subscribe to 2 different walkthrough channels and that is hollow and IGP both have incredible narration and both have hilarious personalities! If u don't subscribe to IGP check him out, if u enjoy hollow's channel u will enjoy IGP as well.

You have to play THE OTHER STALKER GAMES they are old but legendary ( You can skip Stalker clear sky tho ). And please wished for 2 years for u to play this . Make this a full series please . Also dont worry about prices . Hunt artifacts and sell them .

Stalker games have always been about realism. Guns are heavy, worth some, but mainly useful for removing any upgrades to be used on Your preferred weapon. Artifacts are your money item, also why everyone is willing to risk death. The more unique an artifact the more valuable.
Not been a fan very long, but I love the daily uploads. Always have you playing while I'm working, another game you might want to try is Survive the Nights 😀

Some tips from someone who used to play the old games a lot:
- this beeping sound you hear is just a warning when you're near an anomaly. The quicker the beeps, the closer you are to danger.
