Glad this video can help! The tile saw definitely can be overwhelming when you haven’t used it, but once set up, it’s easy! Not dangerous like wood saws, just start the tile in the correct spot and the blade will follow through. Good luck!
Thanks for the video. I'm considering trying this in a kitchen as well. What suggestions do you have for laying the tile around a circular light fixture on the wall? Any kind of cutting tool can only cut straight lines correct?
One can use a tile saw and cut small slivers to get the bulk of the cut out and then final grind to the circular shape with a mason wheel on an angle grinder, or drill tapered bit. Or one can also use an angle grinder making a circular cut slowly. Stores do sell a tile blade for a jig saw or they make tile hole saws for a drill depending on what size you need. There are a few options to make a circular cut, just have to experiment to see what you need.
Thank you! If you used a marble tile and it’s sealed, my first thought is the still a film of haze on top of your tile? Sometimes it can be difficult to get off without a cleaner.
My Home Depot had this Shluter metal trim, that’s where I got it. If you can find any tile or floor specialty store, they should have a good selections of metal Shluter trims.
I'm about to start my kitchen backsplash and this is so helpful. The wet saw has me nervous but slow and steady right 😅

How can you cut tile if doing it manually?? Looks really good
Thank you!
They make a tile cutter. It’s more like a rolling blade that scores and breaks the tile.
