- AD|| Welcome back my lovelies, I hope you are all doing well. So after my vlog a few weeks ago of asking you about your favourite jumping exercises, I am finally trying out the one which was most suggested.
In this vlog I set up the 'spider jumping exercise' which has been trending all over social media. I must say I was actually pleasantly surprised with how you could use it to improve your horses way of going. Let me know what you think and whether you want to see a vlog of Bear and Jam giving it a go!

I agree! This Esme is great but I feel she’s mainly a kids channel now, especially with her new beginner series. I also feel as if the majority of her videos are just adds and complete sponsorships which ruins the authenticity if that makes sense!
(I just want to add I never said her channel being a kids channel is a bad thing!)

oh god! i do hunter jumped on a spicy chestnut mare pony and i just sing abc’s to count the strides of her canter. a judge came to me and asked what i was saying and i was so embarrassed
I liked the way this grid can work - especially that you can change direction when you want to.

Woah look at those big feilds, must be lovely for the ponys the run, especially woth only a few horses in the feild. Such an experienced rider, I must say.
When i saw your dog just behind you when you were talking meg, made me think ' oh we have a horse dog there! Just simply trotting (jogging) around the arena !' Haha! lol

I thought that the spider exercise was very good and you and Dee were really good at it. OK, it took a little bit of
practice to get to the good point but all in all I think it was a success. Also I would love to see both Jam and Bear
do the spider diagram, just watch out for Bear she will be jumping up into the clouds, knowing how high she jumps over things. Looking forward to seeing whose yard you will be going to next. Take Care Meg and Hobbit. Jane 🐴🧑🏻🦰🐎😎

Hi Megan, in France the spider is not a trend but usually jumped in Hunter competitions. So , not so Far from some cross country exercices/fences in an Arena.

I would really like to see you do this again, on either three ponies. It would be fun seeing you do it again on Dee to see if she has learned something from today! Also, would love to see more dressage training, like the one you did with Bear, where you told us a little about what you were doing and why. Its so interesting to see other people ride and be shown and told why exactly they do that!

I'd love to see it with Bear and Jam, but also perhaps a similar exercise done as ground poles with Dora or Sally, for younger horses to work on as well!

Honestly Meg, I absolutely love your ponies and you but I need to meet your dog to be truly fulfilled in life 😄 I am also extremely jealous of how easy you make riding look while I'm still over here bumping around the arena like a sack of potatoes most of the time! 😄❤

Loved this video! Do you ever trot over jumps? I remember in one of your videos where a 5 star eventer did a voice over I remember her saying that it was good and I’ve found it really good to stop horses rushing and make both of us wait for the base of the fence... I love dee tho!! She looked to be so much more relaxed towards the end 😍😍

I love your vlogs they are great.
I know the feeling you have on Dee. Like you gets such a good line, with the perfect strides and then horse just pulls and suddenly the nice strides you saw are gone and then they chip in or they set off from way out because they suddenly pulled and their stride size changed. Its so frustrating. Ive spent the last year just doing a mountain of circles before a jump, because my horse just keeps pulling whenever he sees a fence and it still hasn't helped. Its like he forgets it the next time we jump.
When he gets back into work from his little injury, I think im gonna have to start over and maybe this time i will jump more than once a week, just to really make him remember the things we do.
So excited for this !!!! So late tho !!!
