Hey im Ed and welcome aboard sailing optimist. I have decided at 28 years old to ditch the normal life and start living our my dream. Ive managed to sell, beg and mainly borrow (thank you good credit) to buy my dream boat! A 1997 Westerly Oceanquest 35.

Hi Ed - fellow Oceanquest owner here (OT 38) a great choice! We're also based in Chichester. Most interesting to see you getting to grips with yours. I had to perform surgery on the heads compartment to change the hoses (they were original) - they were really furred up with scale so easily blocked. So much better now, and less odour! Sounds like your pipes are furred up Ed. Scale comes loose and blocks the pipe.
