How do I upload a video?
After your purchase, Videoville Villages will contact you and assist you in uploading your videos and photos, and your item will arrive ready to present.
What if my video file is too big?
We can help. Videoville Villages has software that can scale down the file size so that you can maximize the memory built in to your high-definition decoration.
Do I have to upload my own video?
No, there are stock videos available.
What is the best way to film my scene?
Using your mobile phone or camcorder, place it on a flat surface or tripod, at a 90deg angle. As the internal scene of your decoration is like looking through a window, it's best for the camera to remain static for the best result.
Can I add Santa to my video?
Yes you can! Just let us know in the notes or once we contact you to upload your video if you would like a visit from the man with the bag to appear in your treasured collection.
How are Videoville Village pieces made?
Each decoration is 100% original and designed using CAD software. The seasonal village piece is then 3D printed using a robust resin called ABS, allowing the decoration to be incredibly strong, especially compared to porcelain or other plastic seasonal village pieces that are glued together. The next phase is for the resin to be washed and cured before being hand painted with premium paints. Each of the unique designs are mounted onto either an acrylic or PLA base.
What scale are these buildings?
Christmas villages are not like model railways, their scaling are not exact, but these seasonal pieces have been designed to work with your existing villages, allowing the theming to be seamless as well as even lending themselves to being compatible with other brands power adaptors and battery packs.
What is power draw for a Videoville Village piece?
The power drawn is approx. 320mA.
Can cogs get stuck or motors burn out like other brands?
The internal animation in Videoville Village pieces are entirely digital - there are no moving parts that cause noise or wear etc...
I live outside the UK, will the plug work in my country?
Unfortunately we can not supply non-UK 3 pin plugs, but the cable supplied can plugged in to any USB-A plug adapter such as a mobile phone charger, Multi Adapter Cords with a USB input or power bank (that has a 400mA or better output).
Am I paying for expensive boxes and packaging?
No, the saving is passed on to the customer and we reuse protective packaging such as polystyrene and bubble wrap where possible, providing that packaging is in as new condition.
Can I change the video installed on my decoration?
Once you have uploaded your chosen video, they can not be changed as the display unit and its memory are sealed and secured inside your ornament.
