"Oh my god, how did the stakes get higher than this?" that could be the tagline for the whole show
haha truly each story arc just put the stakes higher and higher, BB is insanely good at this.
“Why don’t you like them tio?” I pretend my cats are Walt and Jesse and reenact that scene with them all the time
ahahahahahahaha
That’s hilarious
Is Hector your dog? 😂
I bet they have the same panicked and traumatized look on their faces too 😂
@@possessedslig “last chance to look at me hector” 🐕 👀
RIP Mark Margolis (plays "Tio"). Made SUCH a strong impression in just one episode, without a single word of dialogue.
Also: While filming the bit where Tuco throws Jesse out of the house, Aaron Paul said that he will throw himself at the door properly so that the cameras outside can shoot the whole thing. Unfortunately, for him, the door was a real one, not a weaker door from a film set. He hurled himself HARD at the door, knocking it off its hinges. He continued to act in that shot. Soon as the director yelled cut, he became unconscious and had to be taken to the hospital
that is some DEDICATION
my favorite part is when he goes to the bathroom on himself
Plays Hector, Tuco's uncle (tio).
Also in the scene where Tuco kicks the orc helmet he actually broke his toe; his emotional scream is actually from the pain.
@@sosaysjayrod did you know that tuco accidentally threw a real knife at heisenberg by mistake?? Luckily walter had been practicing his sword blocking technique
Re: the fingerprints question - one of Walt's major advantages is that he has ZERO criminal record, and so he's not in the system at all. Even if the cops lifted a perfect set of prints from the crime scene, Walt's prints aren't in the database to provide a match and ID. As for Jesse - it's his car, and he took the handgun with him when they ran away.
Also, Walt handled the Automatic Rifle for a brief period while Tuco & Jesse were struggling and later when he brought it into Jessie’s car with them, it’s fairly likely that when Tuco later grabbed the gun out of the car, fired it at Hank and stopped to fe load it, his hands covered every part of the gun that Walt had touched and covered over all of Walt’s prints.
to be fair (SPOILERS) Walt does get arrested later and if it followed reality he would've been printed and booked before hank came to free him
@@Ronin.97He probably didn't get fingerprinted and processed because once that happens he has to go through the system. A cop can't just release someone who's been processed because the guy says he knows another cop. The releasing cop would have to explain why he suddenly dropped the charge and let the perp go.
I think Walt must have dropped Hank's name when he was in the cop car or before he got booked.
They found the one Mexican on the planet who doesn’t like chili powder.
There's a reason professional militaries train their soldiers to shoot with single shot (semi-automatic). And even then, hitting something while the other person tries not to get hit and you're getting shot at is very hard.
He is also on drugs and half dead so...understandable i'd say 😅
Raymond Cruz, the actor who played Tuco, was originally supposed to be in the show for much longer (he was supposed to be the main villain for the whole season). But playing Tuco took such a toll on Raymond, physically and mentally, he actually begged the producers to kill off his character.
It's interesting how that works, right? Same thing happened with Jon Hamm in Mad Men....he also went off the deep end for a good while after playing Draper, and that was for 7 seasons.
You need a DNA sample to compare evidence DNA against. If Walt’s DNA isn’t already in a criminal database, finding his DNA as evidence at this point won’t do anything.
This is a solid point. Always made me wonder, tho. Walt's prints should've been on the mask they found in the desert. If they weren't, then as a teacher his prints should have been on file, anyway. Not every state makes their teachers do it, but NM does and did back then. Really, I just chalk it up to being a plot hole.
@@SovereignJohOutside exposed to the elements for several days, there is no guarantee any recoverable prints would last on the respirator.
@@recurrenTopology Great point. I agree. Still tho, basic fingerprinting from any number of places should be enough to pin Walter, even without a record, as he's a teacher and New Mexico has been fingerprinting teachers since '03. Anything he touches that ends up in police/DEA hands or crime scenes should pin him instantly. If they don't, then its just another unexplained bit of luck where somehow his fingerprints didn't end up showing.
@@SovereignJoh You're probably right, though Walter White likely started teaching prior to '03, and I'm not sure if it was state policy to take prints of preexisting teachers or just as part of a background check for new teachers.
Stepping back, it's also possible that in the Breaking Bad Universe, New Mexico doesn't take teachers' finger prints. In my evaluation something needs to be internally inconsistent for it to be a plot hole, lack of fidelity to the real world is not in and of itself a plot hole. For example, Mythbusters showed that hydrofluoric acid would not eat through a bath tub, but I do not consider this a plot hole, it just that chemistry in BB is not exactly the same as real world chemistry. Alternatively, the hyperspace ram in The Last Jedi is a plot hole, because while hyperspace does not exist in the real world it has been established to be ubiquitous in the other films yet was never used in this very powerful and obvious way.
@@SovereignJohmaybe im wrong but i dont know if a clean fingerprint is that easily available on typical surfaces. As far as the law goes, he is not going to get caught regarding the mask as he is a teacher and in charge of the equipment so his fingerprint on it makes sense. Also anything thats been outside for a while, the fingerprints won’t pin you to anything because your fingerprints being there don’t directly connect you to a crime. The fingerprint appearing constantly everywhere would probably incriminate him but Im just trying to think of places where his fingerprints might show up clean enough to identify him and not him and 3 million other people that it could be. Fingerprints are very small and his hands would have to be clean. Also im not sure about the fingerprint tech in the 2000s or late 2000s as airport fingerprint scanners suck to this day when you’re trying to give them a clean print. Even using ink to place fingerprints on a piece of paper has to be done so carefully to not smudge it. IPhones and tech devices like that in my experience are way higher tech than the tech normally standard for airports and so on. No idea why but you know the government sector doesn’t possess the brightest minds. But yeah they might have been able to pin him. But i still can’t think of a location or item with his prints on except the mask. The RV they cook in is justifiable as hank is aware that jessie and mr white have been in touch. Due to him buying weed off of him and also because mr white saw potential in him. Same goes for his fingerprints anywhere where jessie lives. Easily excusable. Gus’s lab would have been perfect with those surfaces except they wore gloves the entire time and cleaned everything and later burned the lab down.
Its actually harder to aim with a fully automatic weapon than a semi, especially one with kickback like that
Especially when you're messed up from being shot already
True... Think of it like a telescope trying to focus on a planet... It has to be at least 95% accurate and perfectly positioned, otherwise it'll miss it
@@yazilliclickand on meth
Yeah thats how it works on call of duty
Yeah exactly. "why are you so bad at shooting a rifle"
Perhaps bc its a fully automatic one, and bc the dude just got shot in the torso point blank and hit in the face with a fckn rock. The fact that he was able to stand up, let alone shoot, was probably purely due to the fact that he was high on walters meth.
Oh Maple, shooting an automatic weapon like that accurately is super difficult, any soldier will attest to that.
Movies make it look super easy, but the creators of this show try yo make this realistic so Tuco not being accurate... is very accurate.😂
I have used one. I get it’s not an easy gun to fire necessarily but that many rounds fired with someone like Tuco who obviously has a background in weapons at close range AND on flat ground let’s be for real
@@MapleDivine But Tuco was also hit over the head with a rock, shot in the stomach, and high on meth.
@@ajs8873 DUDE I AM SPEAKING IN GENERAL LMAO
@@ajs8873 I’m talking about a consistent movie trope that no one can ever land a shot when they’re firing 50 rounds and their target is in the open!
@@MapleDivine you're not wrong, the odds are definitely in his favor in general at that distance but yeah I've shot my fair share and no enough gun nut friends to be put in my place over guns and I've seen enough behind the scenes on the show where Vince Gilligan explains what was happening here and there throughout this and Better Call Saul.
Rewatching this really made me appreciate Raymond Cruz as Tuco, what a great performance!
I think his performance is one of the best in the whole series. He's incredible as Tuco.
i mean, theres a reason tuco is still so beloved in the fanom, despite appearing only in so few episodes of the show.
It's not suspence its anxiety. This is the most anxiety driven series ever.
It is, I'd argue Arcane comes really close too
suspense bro it aint mike "sus"pence
Nah, but they're already reacting to the actual most anxiety driven show: Barry. There are episodes of that show that made me actually sick.
Arcane is hard to compared as its only a few episodes versus 5 seasons of BB@@Onaterdem
At least they know that “Tio” is already Spanish for “Uncle” and aren’t going to start calling him “Uncle Tio” like certain reactors out there.
TV and movies may have trained us that it's not big deal when you're shot, but it's an enormous deal. An abdomen shot can be one of the most painful things to experience in your life, and that, coupled with continuing to bleed out, being stoned in the skull, blood falling into your eyes (which has a tendency to make your vision blinded white), high out of your mind on pure meth with an angry aggressive personality and no firearms training, it's more impressive Tuco was able to wield the gun with any degree of accuracy at all.
Yes, everyone is bad at shooting automatics.
It gets worse if you got shot right before it too.
its funny that theyre worried about Hector😆
Haha For real. Poor guy. Hope he makes it out of that situation. He’s a sweet old man!!!
They’ll learn. We all had to.
"at least the uncle didn't die" 🤣 in time they will see the humor in that observation
They taught us to use the full automatic mode on a rifle only if an enemy is 3ft away from you. Also if you've never tried full auto the weapon literally tries to jump from your hands
Jesse broke the #2 rule of self-defense: Anything worth shooting/stabbing/bludgeoning is worth shooting/stabbing/bludgeoning twice.
What the fuck!? I hope nobody takes that advice unless they're engaged in war on a battlefield.
@@SoaringTrumpet Every class that I have ever had, including those taught by Police, Sheriff's Deputies, and one by a Sheriff's Deputy Commander was that anytime that a civilian needs to defend your life, the minimum use should be a double tap. If that doesn't end the threat, keep shooting until the threat is ended. A wounded offender can still wound or kill you (q.v. Miami FBI Shootout)
"theyre never gonna find him... guys in mexico by now. All about appearances Gomey." This for me is the funniest line in the entire show, and everyone always just skips over it cuz theyre busy talking :(
yea line was hysterical
Seriously, every single reactor starts talking over that line after the "hell yeah" scene
"Are they punking me Tio?" *ding* Gets me every time.
"Theo" 😂 Where's Rudy and Vanessa?
thx@@GeorgeEugeneBarrett
That automatic weapon would knock you on your ass😂
actually, you can rest your nose on the charging handle and fire...it wouldnot break your nose.
Take a nine milli to the stomach and see how accurately you can aim an automatic weapon 😂
To answer Maple's question, it's insanely difficult to shoot an automatic Firearm without a shit ton of training. That, coupled with the drug thing lol
Its extremely hard to shoot an automatic rifle and stay accurate even when you have proper training. Generally speaking the military only uses automatic fire for suppressing the enemy and normally only from Light Machine guns or mounted guns. The vast majority of the time, soldiers fire in semi-auto because its easier to control, more accurate, and conserves ammo. If you ever see a movie where soldiers fire in full auto say in mission impossible, its not an accurate depiction of how firearms are used in real life. On top of that, firing a gun during an actual gunfight and staying accurate is extremely hard on its own since you are also being shot at.
Most underrated episode of the show. Nobody lists this as one of the top episodes but god the writing and acting is almost perfect.
There's so many contenders for best episode in this series
Arianna being worried for Hector... LOL... LMAO even.

"Good for whore."

WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY TIO?!?!
"At least the uncle won't die"
Yeah... Innocent little tio...
This show isn’t easily predictable, that’s why it’s so good.
gonna gear nerd out on the automatic weapon thing
It's insanely difficult to shoot a gun on full auto and hit anything you mean to. It jumps all over the place, your adrenaline is pumping, it is extremely inefficient. And that's assuming you aren't bleeding out from a gutshot with someone else shooting back at you like Tuco is here. Real life trained shooters (soldiers/cops/etc) are taught to always use semi auto specifically because its far more controllable, accurate and ammo efficient. Pretty much the only exception is if you're a SAW gunner in an infantry squad i.e. the guy with the biggest machine gun that has hundreds of rounds fed into it, and even then in short controlled bursts like 5-10 rounds at a time
tl;dr: full auto is 9.5/10 times a bad choice lol its just plain impractical
Its very difficult to fireany weapon. Thats why you must train. Untrained people miss all the time.
Tho to be fair, tuco showed earlier in the episode that he was able to shoot somewhat accurate with it out of the window. But the dude just got shot in the torso point blank and hit in the face with a fckn rock. The fact that he was able to stand up, let alone shoot, was probably purely due to the fact that he was high on walters meth.
@@thahoule7924 luck vs tv vs meth. Something like that
so nice you be sympathetic to "Tio" Salamanca, such a good loving person in a horrible situation close to the end of his life, he is really an underrated sweetheart of the show
His name is Hector. Tio means uncle.
The rollicking car in the last scene is such good set design. The frame just frantically moving up and down during the firefight makes things feel so much more unnerving.
6:38 Skyler's been training for this moment her entire life 😂
love watching them both be so impacted at this point, and the tension only keeps ratcheting up and up. wait til they see . . . just ... just wait
It's going to be awesome seeing their reaction to getting more information on Hector.
filming this entire series with handheld cameras bring you into the scene.... quite literally.
I look forward to this every single week! Love it. Hope you do Better call Saul next.
Shooting a fully or semiautomatic rifle accurately, especially higher caliber ones, is really difficult because of the recoil. You have to brace it against your body and it's about as hard as someone punching you. Tuco was already shot in the stomach, so the recoil made aiming almost impossible. You can see him just spraying wherever he can without really holding it striaght.
The only real use for automatic fire is to create an interlocking stream of fire in tandem with another automatic weapons. This is pointing in a single direction and pulling the trigger. The enemy charging your base runs into the line of fire.
Tuco was in "spray-and-pray" mode; which means hitting something is increadibly lucky. Perhaps if he steadied the rifle and used the sights, he might have purposely hit something.
Man I only watched this show once, and forgot so much outside of memes lol don’t even remember the ending. I say after every episode reaction that I have to rewatch the show for myself because this is great
I believe Tuco was laying down suppressive fire to drive Hank back to gain some distance.
A lot of people don't realize how easy it is to mess with an automatic weapon
I personally think the over the top attitude/personality by hank makes sense. He has to desensitize himself to handle the horrors he sees. Comedy is how we cope with trauma
That scene when Tio throws Jesse through the screen door Aaron Paul actually got a concussion from that the board door frame broke on his head that is the scene they used it looked so real because it was and the actor didn't know he had been injured so he kept beating up on Aaron but then he blacked out and woke up in the ambulance
@24:52 Adrenaline and cortisol are drugs too. If you practice shooting in a calm state then the difference can be distracting when present.
Automatic weapons are more for suppression, like forcing enemies to keep their heads down. Semi auto is the way to hit stuff
This show is pretty long i hope you can release episode more frequently than once or twice a week. By that rate this won't be done by around this time next year.
We're not in a rush. The show came out once a week when it aired.
Well... that was intense
‼️
😳
Tuco has a bullet in his stomach that's why he's so bad at shooting. Earlier in the episode he shoots a cow from like a hundred yards away
Come for the reaction; but stay for the editing! 👌
I love how you guys felt bad for the uncle at first lol
Mark Margolis as Hector Salamanca damn so good
"I don't understand how anyone can be so bad at shooting an automatic rifle." Lol! Maple needs to visit literally ANY indoor shooting range. There she'll learn that the the Storm Troopers in Star Wars are actually a pretty accurate representation of the average shooter!!!!
To me this is where the show really begins.
2:16 lol Maple 😂
I knew this show was one of the greats, I watched it when it aired. but rewatching these first seasons now reminds me why I thought it's a great show.
Hank has no reason to suspect Walter White and since Jesse was not found at the scene he is not connected either. They both took their things back before leaving.
The end of Tuco, but the debut of Hector Salamanca
Tuco was so sporadic and uncontrolled with the rifle because he was already wounded and had lost a good amount of blood(as gross as that is)
PSA: EVERYONE ON THE PEW PEW TRAIN 🚂 IF you listen closely to what I’m saying fully it’s about a movie trope I have noticed always happens. They always have characters in movies constantly never get hit when there are 100s of bullets flying by. That’s what I was saying. I’m not oblivious to the conditions of the character or how difficult it is to shoot specific guns. But if everyone in movies is that bad at shooting a target then I should assume that guns are useless even after firing 100 rounds at an open target weather 1 person is firing or a whole army according to Hollywood action movies that’s are fully war related 😂 THEY DO IT ALL THE TIME. You can breathe and hopefully save your keyboard from the beating of a comment you were about to type.
Full automatic guns are very hard to control, also tuco being high on meth and to implement cover fire he was trying to spray bullets to ensure cover fire and get to to a safe cover. Also, funny that they were relieved that the uncle survived while he was the worst person in the whole series.
It's not necessarily that Tuco is a bad shot, he was just shot in the gut, I imagine he was experiencing a lot of pain from the recoil even if he is all doped up. It did look like his aim improved as he kept shooting, not by much though.
I love how you guys are concerned for Hector (uncle). Don’t worry your mind will change regarding him 😂
When you’re that high and there’s that much kick when you just hold down the trigger, you’re aim is gonna be shit. Not to mention he’s moving about and dealing with incoming fire.
"that was so wild"
It's actually cute how you have no idea 😅
Are you going to upload the shorter versions like this to your patreon? I signed up but I didn't know they were going to be extended with no sound
They can’t react to the full episode with sound or it would get copyrighted so you gotta pull your own version up and watch it side by side
@@bigpictureguys8415 i didn't ask for the full version, I asked if they were going to upload the short version like they do on TH-cam
@liljackypaper most reaction channels don't upload the edited versions (these) to their patreon unless it's a patreon exclusive show.
Reel Rejects runs their pateon this way.
At least the Uncle won't die. Let's come back to this statement.
I wish you knew how difficult is to shoot a weapon like that
"How is someone not good at shooting an automatic weapon?" Another example why the show is so good! Attention to detail. A gun like that is extremely difficult to control. Tuco has no base, no proper form, so his shots are going to be wild with almost 0 accuracy haha classic "spray and pray". But it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility that he would miss every single shot being high and nearly fatally wounded. Hank, with his years of training was able to find an opening, set and shoot accurately. Best show ever!
Heh. Feeling bad for Hector Salamanca. Good stuff.
you ID’d a hole in the story that i never thought about with the wallets being left at the scene
Shooting a gun on full-auto, in reality, is not easy for those who are not properly trained and do not shoot correctly. Walking around, waving the gun around, and shooting without actually aiming means the chances of you hitting what you’re trying to shoot nearly 100% impossible.
Even our military, while having the capability of firing on full-auto, are trained to mainly only use semi-auto.
"I'm worried hes gonna kill his uncle..."
If only.
Tuco didnt mad dog them, he was signaling S O S. S O S.
Any show that has characters with "bad aim" with a weapon, just means the character being shot at will continue in the series. Can't kill a necessary character in the story. Plot device. BB has such good writing.
Lol "this is going to be a stressful season" - they have NO idea
At that range with an M4 Hank would be toast. That car door will NOT stop a 5.56mm. I have real world experiance with M4s. But maybe Im just being pedantic.
"Hi guys, welcome back to diet Jesus" :D
Thanks for the reaction!
Tuco was probably high, got shoot and was hit in the head. He shoot running to cover. I will say it’s pretty hard, if not impossible to hit someone like this and hank lay down, making more hard. Hitting a target moving o shooting back at you its not that easy, especially if you are very hurt. People think its easy to hitting a target 😂.
If he had gone to Jesse's at the aunt's house he would have seen the RV I am surprised Skyler didn't tell him the house that she saw Jesse at
it wouldn't matter if walts fingerprints are in the car, i doubt they have his fingerprints in their database.
He's a teacher. He probably had to register them.
High on drugs and bleeding out are two factors.
I approve of the Jenna "hell yeah" shoutout. :)

I don't think Maple understands how recoil works especially if you're one handing an automatic AR-15 or M4, i can't tell which one but my point still stands. Also he's bleeding from the side.
M4's are 3 round burst and AR-15's are semi auto unless you use a bump stock which just lets you fire semi auto really fast. without looking again i'd guess tuco is using an AK-47 since it's affordable and fully auto.
Also in the military, hank would be considered point blank. the closest target in an army range is 50 meters.
You ain't seen nothing yet. .. just wait. Your chin will have a calus on it from hitting the floor. Enjoy
the woman on the left has so much anxiety whenever she sees tuco
you gotta watch better call saul after this
Tuco can't shoot straight lol no they took their stuff off the table but the finger prints are on the water jug and Jesse's car but I guess they didn't take prints on everything
Que le hicieron a mi tio 😭
Too bad neither Jesse or Walter thought to grab Jesse's bag of money that was in the car
"I don't get how you can be so bad at shooting an automatic weapon" you think its easier than a non-automatic? This stuff is hard if you are not trained, what Tuco clearly isn't.
yayyy
