I have the PL 12mm f/1.4 but went with the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 as it is weather sealed and the PL15mm is not. I have the PL f/2.8-4 (8-16, 12-60 & 50-200 with the TC-1.4) and the 45mm f/2.8 macro. My wife uses a Oly 12-100 f/4 on her G9. I found the Sigma to be a very good lens, ideal for evening shots in Milan a few years ago. By the way the 12-100 on the G9 is a cracker lens for travel photography. I went with M43 four years ago for travel. It was a good decision. Thanks for the video.

Great video ! It's hard to find video that keep talking about m43 in 2022 !! one suggestion is having more lens video shot that you are describing.

my setup is I think the best versatile package. Which id the G9, leica 100-400, and the Olympus 12-100 and as a portrait lens. I have the 45mm 1.8 you really don't need anything else.

Depends on what you are shooting
To me 4 months in Europe more than 90% of the non snapshot photos were shot using the Olympus 7-14 2.8 (and mostly in the 7-10 range for cityscapes, architectural and interiors ) so for me, in that case, my 100-400 would be left at home.
Obviously going out for wildlife/birding the 100-400 would be in the kit but not the 7-14

Olympus has a f1.2 17mm lens with a manual focus clutch. So it is doubtful Panasonic will ever release a similar lens. Since it doesn't have an aperture ring, see if this one covers your need.
And the system is still releasing new lenses: Panasonic just released a 9mm f1.7 Leica lens. At a slow pace considering there are a plethora of M43 lenses and trhe market is shrinking.
Would like to have the 42.5mm f1.2 but I suppose I have enough lenses for what I am doing :)

Great point about the 9 and 17mm. The dream setup that GRD suggests (equivalent of 18, 24, 35, 85) is nearly possible if have to stay with PL with the 9, 12, 15 (great lens in its own right), and 42.5 (stunning lens, and much cheaper now if bought used), all 1.7 or wider. (Plus two options at 25 if need be.)

I didn't have that kind of budget so I went with 12-60 Panasonic Vario II lens instead of Leica. They're not bad tbh, I still got some nice footage with it, but I'm not a professional photographer so I probably won't be winning any awards with it. For what it's worth I got some really good mileage out of it.

The voightlander 17.5 is very popular for GH5 uses. I personally really love the Leica 15mm. But would love a Leica 17.51.4. As,e build quality as the Nocitcron would be incredible.

    Nice trio of lenses…
I have gone through a few variations of my three top glass, which started with the M.Zuiko Pro 12-40mm/2.8, 40-150mm/2.8, and the 45mm/1.2… If we go the strictly prime route, then the 45mm/1.2 remains, we add a 25mm, and the 17mm/1.2… Recently, added the two Leica 1.7 zooms, the 10-25mm and 25-50mm on discount for roughly the same cost as your Nocticron and the 12mm Summilux. To complete that trifecta, it’s either the 45mm/1.2 again, or the M.Zuiko 75mm.1.8…
The focus is more video than photography…

@@xHOTDAMNxHBx I hate to admit it, but amazon… During the last holiday, they were three hundred off each. Realistically those two lenses and an extremely wide aperture portrait lens is all one really needs, for nearly any occasion…
